In 1986 I had the opportunity to interview Tom for the "Saxophone Journal". Due to unforeseen complications the interview was never published. I've included the draft here in PDF format exactly as it came back from the typist, complete with typos and my corrections in pencil. It reveals Toms dedication as well as his sense of humor and covers in-depth a look at his career to that point. 22 years later it is still great reading. I hope you enjoy it.
