Modified Memories
For Sale
The LATEST !! I never really thought this day would come but
it is here never the less. The changes in my life have accelerated much faster then I could have anticipated.
My medical problems have gotten worse and because of this I no longer have the time, ability or location to continue with the building of my race car.
Because of this I am not only putting the race car up for sale but it will be packaged with the trailer.
Everything that has been shown on this site is included plus I will include the hitch.
This means that all you have to do is back your tow vehicle to the trailer, slide the hitch into the
receiver, hook up the wiring jack and take off down the road. Of course this all comes after the transfer of funds.
All I am removing from the trailer are my tools and personal gear. Everything else stays.
This means it everything from the hitch to the locks on the back door.
I am asking $6500. (as the money has to go to medical costs) for the entire race car and the trailer is free.
This is less that $.25 on the dollar invested. This car is all new front to back.
Go here to see all about the car and trailer in detail. Site Index

Fall,2003
I'm back and it feels good. I have almost closed
the third section of my life and in a few months I will start on a new journey. This site
and my race car goes with me wherever I end up. Thanks for coming along and I hope this new look is easier for you.
Spring,2003
Since I have been locked up in the house due to medical problems I have corrected a long over due
problem with this site. It has to do with the name of the site. My car is NOT an altered but a modified
roadster. They are very similar but the modified roadster has more engine setback. An altered is limited to 25% setback but the modified roadster has
no limitations. Since this is cleared up the site name had to go to reflect more accurately what I am building. I hope you
like the name change.

I have been working on the dash panel, go here:Gauges:.
I have also created the support piece that goes behind the dash and also carries out another function too.
Go here:GaugesII:.
May 10,2003 I have installed the basic parts
of the gas primer system. It is located in Fuel Injection VII:.
April 05, 2003 I picked up a used shifter for my car.

NEW - December 25, 2002. First I want to wish all of you happy holidays.
Considering all the turmoil in my personal life, my daughter and others made a point for me to have a
christmas and a merry one at that. Consider this your public thank you.
Now for the good stuff, just
what did Santa bring to me? Well nothing but a couple of other helpers made this a great christmas.
You can find the presents in the Electrical: section. There is another new section called Misc:
which is just that. Anything I couldn't fit into any other section.
So go take a look and till next time.
I have just received my new rear rims. You can read the story and see pictures at Tires and Rims:
I have been busy again and this time the subject is scoops. This is about designing and finding the right scoop to "fit" the car and it's personality.
This can be found in Fuel Injection V.
I know it is hard to believe but there is another page on the fuel injection. This one is showing hoe I hand crafted the necessary linkage to connect the
throttle body to the barrel valve. Strangely enough this is called Fuel Injection IV.
NEWS FLASH !!! A new page has sprung up and it is more on the fuel Injection and is labeled Fuel Injection III.
Well here we are again and believe it or not I have made progress on the hot rod. I have been working on the fuel injection
for the car. I am building my own and you can see it at this link:Fuel Injection:
There are more pictures about some work on the trailer at this link:
Quick story to tell. I have driven the big truck to work a couple of times when my Ranger was in for maintenance.
My friend Glen was going to install my brake controller in the big truck, came down and tried to take the truck to his shop.
It started just fine but would not move because the truck was down on transmission fluid. He added some fluid and was running it in gear
against the brakes to build pressure when all of a sudden the brake pedal starts to go down to the floor.
He nurses it to his shop and finds the metal brake lines from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve rusted and one has sprung a leak. Some would say that is bad luck but I feel blessed.
That truck is almost 8000 pounds and no brakes could have made it a smaller package not to mention possibly hurting someone. The trans leak turned out to be
a leak in the metal transmission lines to the cooler. All in all I feel very fortunate that all it cost was two(2)sets of metal lines. You know, sometimes you just get lucky and I do appreciate it.
In case I have not mentioned it, the picture that is used in the background was taken by my friend Doug Peterson. I appreciate his allowing me to use it.
Till next time!!!
Take Care
Jim
