Mysticism is simply an attempt to provide a system for those whom ordinary religion has ceased to help. It says, in effect, here is a practical means and a demonstrable method whereby you may verify for yourself the essential truth that there is a soul in man.The devotional life consists of prayer and worship; the mystical life consists of intuition and meditation.
We took this path in the early 70's, completed the 20 year course of study offered by Builder's of the Adytum, a Western Mystery School founded and guided by the late Paul Foster Case and Ann Davies. Since then we have been fortunate to attend workshops and travel in groups with Z'ev ben Shimon Halevi, a Kabbalistic teacher of the Toledano Tradition.
Warren Kenton
Rev. Ann Davies, the spiritual successor to Dr. Paul Foster Case, whose loving words of wisdom have nurtured and inspired us since our first introduction to Kabbalah through Builders of the Adytum.
We gather together to study Kabbalah and share what we have learned from the various traditions to which we have been exposed. Our group, established in 1987 welcomes anyone interested in serious work on this path.
Ascent into the upper worlds is the reward of individual merit, but there is also the phenomenon of Grace, as manifested in Jacob's experience at Bethel, where he was shown (while spiritually asleep) a vision of the Ladder of Existance. Such a moment of awe confronts any individual with the decision whether to remain asleep below or to awaken and consciously climb the ladder of evolution.

Warren Kenton (Z'ev ben Halevi) teaching at the restored home of Nahmanides in Gerona, Spain. a leading Talmudic Scholar who was born in 1194, became Rabbi of Gerona and later Grand Rabbi of Catalonia. He attempted to find a compromise between the current controversy of faith and reason. He fled Spain for Israel when threatened to be brought to trial and died there in 1267.
