I Am That I Am..............Warren Wayne

Who am I? The Self is constant and definite, but always fluid.

(The Ego wishes categorization.)

What's my place in the Universe?

Individualization: a balance between external and internal work and alignment with the Central Column.

Ascent: increasing liberation. Descent: more restriction and more law

Kabbalah & the Spiritual Tradition of Africa by Kurt Brown

(The following is a copy of handout by Kurt Brown)

COMPONENTS OF THE AFRICAN SPIRITUAL TRADITION

1. Most African ethnic groups believe in one God who created the Universe and all that is contained in it.

2. That there are Divinities-parts of God-who deal with the governing of the Universe in general and the affairs of humanity on earth in particular. There are forces that build up, some that break down and those in equilibrium.

3. That the Souls of humans live on after death and can reincarnate back into the world of humanity.

4. That ancestral souls must be remembered and honoured and consulted by the living.

5. Divination is practised.

6. They believe in the use of offerings and blood sacrifice to elevate their prayers to the Divinities-ultamately to God- and to the ancestors, from a belief in the system of "Nothing for Nothing."

7. There is a belief in magic and in the magical and medicinal use of herbs, minerals and rocks.

8. Ritual song and dance is mandatory in the worship of God.

9. Men and women can commune with God through the vehicle of trance-possession.

10. Religious festivals are community oriented. There is little or no room for individualism. Ther are roles for community heads at these festivals, different roles for priests and religious leaders and separate roles for members of the community.

"I am because we are and since we are, therefore I am"

In this presentation, Kurt highligted the spiritual components which African Traditions share. Every tradition has its inner teaching, the esoteric wisdom that is the heritage of humanity. In the African tradition this is the domain of the shaman and only those who can function in the realm of the spirit were trained as such.
According to the tradition the wisdom of the Kabbalah was brought to Africa by Balkis, the Queen of Sheba. The marriage of these two traditions rekindles for us the task of discovering the purpose of our life and our relation with the Absolute, Creation, and humanity.
Using the Jacob's Ladder and the Tree 0f life, he will illumine these traditional teachings.

Kabbalah & Management...........................................Vera Box Thijs &Piet Heyen

System thinking in Kabbalah and Management:
This is an epoch in which we find paradigm shifts in every field of human undertaking. Also in the field of business. So "Coporate Culture" has become one of the major issues for today's organizations. Here, the combination of Kabbalah and Management gives an insight in how a company or organization is built and run. In this way analysis becomes synthesis and shows the principle of Unification present in modern management.

About Vera Box-Thijs:

Veronica Box-Thijs (1957) lives in Tongeren in Belgium, is married and has three children. She studied, lived and experienced Kabbalah for more than 12 years and is since 1993 a member of the Kabbalah group in Bilthoven and has a group in Tongeren called "Adomat Kodesh" since 1996.

She has a special interest for "new management" and is developing a new type of corporate culture analysis system based on the system thinking which could be extracted from kabbalah.

Spinoza and the Rosicrucians.......................................G. Olsthoom

Spinoza and the Rosicrucians:

Spinoza was a world famous philosopher who lived in Holland. For long he was considered a materialistic thinker. In the beginning of this century a trend came about considering him to be a mystic.

In the beginning of the 17th century the Manifesto of the Rosicrucians was published and soon became influential in the esoteric tradition of the West. This lecture pointed to resemblances in the thinking of Spinoza and the Rosicrucian path. Both poiint to the birth and awakening of "reason"in terms of the "thinking body"

The original word for man was Adamas which carries the notion of Man and Manas, the thinker. The Thinker will be conscious of Spirit and Nature and only an awakened thinker can reach unification.

About Mr. Olsthoorn:

Mr. Olsthoorn was born during the war in IJmuiden in Holland. He now lives in Almere as a sculptor and lecturer. He is married and has 3 children and is lecturer and board member of the international "Lectorium Rosicrucianum School.

The Way of Christ on the Middle Pillar........................Dittie Rebel

The Way of Christ on the Middle Pillar

From a study of the life and words of Jesus in the New Testament gospels and of Jacob's Ladder an attempt is made to describe Christ's progression from Jesus to Christ; what this means and what the message herein is for us. It is proposed that the development from jesus to Christ has to do with the Soul Triad (Tiferet, Gevurah, Chesed) on the Tree of Life in Yetzirah as well as the path from Tiferet through Daat to Kether of Yetzirah.
Unification particularily concerns Tiferet and Kether and the unity of words, beliefs, and action in life. Some comparisons are made with other guides who traveled the same path to prepare for us.

About Dittie Rebel:

Dittie is a doctor, general practioner and lives in Huizen, Noord Holland. She is a member of the Dutch Group since its foudation and is very much interested in the role of Christ and the Christian Tradition. Since 1996 she has her own group in this field.
