Michelle Sahl is principal and owner of MJSahl Consulting,
a Philadelphia health care management and consulting firm specializing in public health and strategic planning, market analyses,
grant writing and economic feasibility studies for health care and other nonprofit and public policy organizations. For over twenty years, Ms. Sahl’s experience has ranged from health care services research, policy
evaluation, and administration to university-level teaching engagements. Prior
to establishing her own consulting business, Ms. Sahl held positions in various organizations, including Tufts-New England Medical
Center, Harvard University, the public accounting firm of Laventhol & Horwath, MEDIQ
Consulting Group, and the University
of Pennsylvania Health System.
In addition to her consulting practice, Ms. Sahl currently serves as an adjunct faculty member in
the Health Administration Department at Saint Joseph's University and in the Health Management & Policy Department
at the Drexel University School of Public Health. She is co-author of the chapter on Ethical Issues (Volume
1) in the Fall 2006 Elsevier publication of the text Comprehensive Medicinal Chemistry II.
Recently, Ms. Sahl has focussed her interests in the areas of urban public health policy, medical ethics and population-based
health care analyses. She holds degrees from Northwestern University (B.A.),
Boston University
(M.Ed.), and Northeastern University (M.B.A.). Currently, Ms. Sahl is completing
dual programs for a Master’s degree in Bioethics (University of Pennsylvania), and a doctorate in Health Policy (The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia).
