Since the late 1950s major television program production companies have used themes and animated logos as part of their programs. Some have been plain and simple in style. Some have long histories lasting to this day.
The real tragedy is that, in many cases, these logos and themes are not considered either important or worthy of study. Who, after all, likes to watch credits all the way to end? (I do, needless to say!) Many have already passed into history because the companies have either changed hands, or the company involved has no concern for their heritage.
