The TiVo software upgrade is expected to be available on Comcast cable boxes in early 2007. January is too optimistic, but March is possible. Field testing is occuring this Fall.

 

Certain Motorola boxes are the initial target for TiVo software upgrades.

 

Cox should be available around 6 months later.

 

Plans for features on the Comcast boxes are not yet revealed, but TiVo is preparing to offer...

 

The TiVo Software Upgrade is expected to carry a small incremental cost to the subscriber in the range of $5.
