Making
Peace with God Through Jesus Christ
Isaiah
55:6-7 (
NASB
)
(6)
Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.
(7)
Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
All that we as human beings can touch,
or as far as our eyes can see or our senses can comprehend by natural
or assisted means, was created by God. The One and Only God, Creator
of the entire universe. ( Isaiah
45:18-24 ) He
created it all and it all continues to exist by His Power.
He created man in His image. ( Genesis
1:26-28 ) Man was
created unique from all other of God's creatures in that he was given
free will. With this free will came the responsibility to choose to,
or not to, keep God's commandments. ( Genesis
2:16-17 )
Mankind chose not to obey God and was
plunged into a condition of ultimate spiritual death and separation
from God. ( Genesis
2:17 ; Ezekiel 18:4 ; Romans 6:23 )
All mankind is now in that condition because there is not one who has
not, at one time or another, disobeyed God. ( Romans
3:9-18 ) Keeping
God's commandments after sinning, doesn't redeem us from this
judgment either. ( Romans
3:19-20 )
God, who is rich in Mercy and
compassion ( Psalms_145:8
), made a way for all mankind, for all
those who would of their own free will choose to be reconciled to
Him, to be forgiven, pardoned and restored back into a right
relationship to Him. ( John
3:16-21 ; Romans 3:21-26 ; Hebrews 1:1-4 ; 1John 4:9-10
)
His Son, Jesus
Christ, is that way, the only way to the Father, and God's
only Plan of Redemption. ( John
14:6; Acts 4:8-12;Philippians 2:9-11; 1Timothy 2:5-6
)
All of mankind is accountable to God
and will be held responsible for what has been done in this life. (
Matthew
12:36-37 ; Romans 14:11-12 ; Hebrews 9:27-28 ; Revelation 20:11-13
)
All of mankind is responsible to God
for what has been done with Jesus Christ,
God's plan of redemption. Everyone is being given an opportunity to
make a decision to accept this plan before they leave this life (
Hebrews
9:27 ) or pay the
debt owed to God as the consequence for sins committed. ( John
3:36 ; Acts 17:29-31 ; Romans 6:23 ; 2Corinthians 5:19-21 ;
2Corinthians 6:1-2 ; Revelation 3:5 ; 20:14-15 ; Matthew 25:31-46
)
The
choice is yours...
John
3:14-21
(NASB)
(14)
"As Moses lifted up the serpent in
the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
(15)
so that whoever believes will in Him
have eternal life.
(16)
"For God so loved the world, that
He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not
perish, but have eternal life.
(17)
"For God did not send the Son into
the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved
through Him.
(18)
"He who believes in Him is not
judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he
has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(19)
"This is the judgment, that the
Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than
the Light, for their deeds were evil.
(20)
"For everyone who does evil hates
the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds
will be exposed.
(21)
"But he who practices the truth
comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having
been wrought in God."
