”Discipleship
In Every Day Life”
Notes:
These
lessons vary in length.
Did you ever ask yourself
the question...
Is being a disciple of
Jesus optional to the believer or is it the very essence of the life
that Jesus Christ intends and desires for us to live?
How about these...
What does it mean to take
up my cross daily?
What is my cross?
How do I take it up?
Do I have to be a disciple?
What does disciple mean?
What does being a disciple mean, isn't that just for
Peter, Paul, John and the rest?
Isn't following Jesus and being like Him practically
impossible?
Isn't being like Jesus and following in His footsteps
just for some select favored few?
Are there consequences to my not taking up my cross
daily and following Christ?
Am I to be held accountable to God for my actions
after I become a Christian?
Am I not bound forever to my sinful nature, and won't
I always be who I am?
Just what does Jesus expect of me after I become a
believer?
Why isn't the struggle against sin over after I
become a Christian?
Doesn't God understand that I can't do what He is
asking of me, take up my cross and follow Him?
Doesn't He understand that I will never be any different than I
am, after all, the call was come as I am, without one plea?
Didn't Paul say, “woe is me, who will deliver me from the
body of this death?”
It's to much work to be good and I thought that after I became a
Christian all that was taken care of and I don't have to worry about
anything any more?
These and many other
questions will be asked. The study is designed to address the entire
subject of discipleship. To look at it as it is presented by Jesus
and His disciples. It is intended to attempt to answer these and
other questions by a thorough diagnostic style of study considering
all the teachings in the New Testament that relate in any way to this
matter.
