ETCHINGS

Helen Breger began printmaking
in the 1960's and for more than 2 decades stretched and expanded the world of
etching in playful and poignant explorations. Now a nonogenarian, Breger returns
to this medium dear to her heart with bold simplicity to tell her life's story. She has created 10 handmade books with the actual etchings that make up her memoir. Breger was graciously and beautifully assisted in this endeavor by two graduates of California College of Arts in Oakland, where Helen spent most of her teaching career. They are Kelly Ball and Alison Yates.
These hand made one of a kind books will be placed in museum collections. In addition, Breger is printing a book with the same content, which will be available for purchase. Please email her with your interest in obtaining one of these special memoirs. (Click Here.)
