Risa is our our first baby, as opposed to Orion, who
just came along. Risa has been in our family for almost as long as we've been
married. In fact, she showed up at the Peninsula Humane Society shelter
the day we were married. I think we took that as a sign at the time.She's still trying to figure out having Orion around, but is doing a good job asserting that she’s higher up on the pecking order than her new playmate. Risa likes delude herself into thinking that she's "alpha dog" in the house. We let
her believe it...sometimes.

These are all pictures that we took as proud parents of a new puppy. She’s mellowed
considerably, but is still psychotic and is definitely having fun with Orion in

Even though we call her psychotic, we still give her a hard time about how
“rough” a dog’s life must be: eat, sleep, soak up the sun, eat,
