The latest insanity

So, something we discovered very quickly about Orion is that she's willing to chew
anything. Doug is spending Independence week installing new screen doors.
(Ironically, partially so Orion couldn't take things that belong in the house outside...)
Orion, the thief that she is, walked away with a large piece of sandpaper. We just about
lost it laughing so hard when she started licking her new toy. I called it "sandpaper
on sandpaper". She was just so remarkably proud of herself here...

Settling in

What else is there to say? Orion is having a lot of fun getting comfortable with her
new home.

“Soft Things”
|
|
Now, a lot of dogs like soft toys, and in fact, Risa has had several. Orion, however,
has a fascination with them. She carries them around with her. In fact, she chases Risa
around with stuffed a stuffed toy in her mouth. (See below.) Soft toys and a destructive
beast is a dangerous combination.

“Socializing”
|
|
I prefer to think of it as the canine equivalent of "Getting to know you/Getting to
know all about you..." The last picture below kind of says it all—Orion's about
as sacked-out as possible and Risa's sort of leaning back, not quite sure about the
situation.
