My introduction to the Havanese breed began with a search for a companion dog for my son, who suffers from
a compromised immune system. He named his dog, Champ, a name which proved prophetic, when I showed him to his AKC Championship
in 2002. He was such a delightful presence in our home we found him a companion, Misty, in 2005. Currently
we have several balls of sunshine that fill our lives with warmth, laughter and joy.
My Havanese experience has evolved into my launch as a novice hobby breeder mentored by dear friends at
Woodland Havanese. With immense delight I witnessed the birth of five beautiful Havanese to Woodland's
Love in the Mist and Forsgates El Campeon in March of 2008.
