Welcome to my Star Trek page. My page, for now, is made up of links to some very nice Star Trek sites. Due to the fact that my personal web page is so varied, I've found that I don't have quite the amount of spare time necessary to do any real justice to the Star Trek world. Hence, I've made note of some Star Trek sites that I feel are worthwhile.       Visiting the Online Freedom Federation (OFF) is definitely worth a peek. The OFF was formed during the time when Viacom, the owners of Paramount (and Star Trek), began to tighten a vise around Star Trek fan sites on the Web. The fan sites frequently made use of copyrighted material. Despite the willingness of these fans to put copyrights next to anything belonging to Paramount, Viacom continued to pursue these sites with threats of legal action. Viacom's main aim was to attract Web surfers to the Official Star Trek site. Unfortunately, at the time, you had to be a member of the Microsoft Network to be able to go to the Official site. The OFF served and continues to serve as a fan site designed to discuss, diplomatically, issues with Viacom.   Well, the OFF and fans of Star Trek scored a victory. Viacom moved Star Trek's official site to the regular web.
