Robbie's Official Name

Robbie is actually a nickname, taken from his full name, as registered with the American Kennel Club.

Robbie's official name is:

CH Otterby Abercromby and Fetch CD AX MXJ NAC EJC FDCh

"What's in a Name?"

Robbie's name starts off with the name of the kennel he's
     from, Otterby.

"Abercromby" is a Scottish clan name that can be spelled
either as "Abercrombie" or "Abercromby". I chose to use
the "y" ending as the AKC limits registered names to 25
characters and I was out of room. The full name is a
play off the retailer "Abercrombie & Fitch".

The nickname of "Robbie" comes from the Scottish poet,
Robert (Robbie) Burns. His nickname is loosely associated
with his full name, but getting a decent male nickname from
     "Abercromby" was very difficult.

The initials represent titles Robbie has earned in
performance events. These are described below:

     CH - Champion (AKC Conformation)
CD - Companion Dog (AKC Novice Obedience)
AX - Agility Excellent (AKC Standard Agility)
MXJ - Master Excellent Jumper (AKC Jumpers with Weaves)
NAC - Novice Titling (NADAC Standard Agility)
EJC - Elite Jumpers (NADAC Jumpers)
FDCh - Flyball Dog Champion (NAFA)

I am proud of both my boys, but I'm especially proud of
Robbie's championship. It was a struggle as I handled him
myself in an arena full of professional handlers. It took us
a bit longer, but we did it!
