MacDuff's Official Name

MacDuff is actually a nickname, taken from his full name, as registered with the American Kennel Club.

MacDuff's official name is:

MACH2 Otterby Thane of MacDuff, CDX CGC EAC O-EJC OGC AD FM TT

"What's in a Name?"

MacDuff's name starts off with the name of the kennel he's
     from, Otterby.

"Thane" is a Scottish title equivalent to a Knight, I believe, in
England. The Scottish title accompanies the Scottish name,
MacDuff. MacDuff is the hero from Shakespeare's play
     MacBeth.

The initials represent titles MacDuff has earned in
performance events. These are described below:

     MACH
- Master Agility Champion (AKC Agility)
CDX - Companion Dog Excellent (AKC Obedience)
CGC - Canine Good Citizen (AKC)
EAC - Elite Titling (NADAC Standard Agility)
EJC - Elite Jumpers, Outstanding Performance (NADAC Jumpers)
OGC - Open Gamblers (NADAC Gamblers)
AD - Agility Dog (USDAA Versatility)
     FM - Flyball Master (NAFA)
     TT - Temperament Tested

MacDuff earned his MACH title in AKC agility at the Twin
Cities Obedience Training Club trial in Minneapolis, MN on
     November 21, 2003.

A dog needs 750 points and 20 double-Qs. A dog earns a point for each second they run under course time (rounded up to whole seconds). A double-Q is qualifying in both a Standard course and a Jumpers With Weaves course on the same day.
