Adopting an animal is a great gift for
any holiday, memorial, club or classroom activity, corporate sponsorship and more.
Animals adopted through this program are releasable rather than permanent
residents, because releasing wildlife is what HAWK is all about. Funds raised are strictly dedicated
for animal care. Just imagine.... you will be the proud adoptive sponsor of a wild "kritter" in our care.
It's a great way for individuals, clubs, and schools to get personally involved in our work.
What do you as an individual get from the adoption process?
Depending on the level of your contribution, you will receive one or more of the following:
- A certificate of adoption & Photos of your animal
- Your animal's story
- A press release
- A presentation for your organization with one of the HAWK ambassadors
- The opportunity to be present when your animal is released
- A behind the scenes look at our wildlife rehabilitation work
Animals in wildlife rehabilitation have medical needs in addition to those of food
and housing. While it is difficult to estimate the length of time a patient will be with us or the cost it will incur
during its stay, we can evaluate what you are able to offer and suggest an animal whose needs meet your contribution.
Choose your adoption level:

Batches and batches of bunnies! Pinky squirrels & opossums.
These are what warm fuzzies are made of. A warm fuzzy gives you that feeling inside that you helped our wildlife today.
Send a warm fuzzy.

It's a small wonder when we can't figure out what it is until it tells
us! Sometimes these guys are so ugly when they come in, it's a small wonder they become beautiful adults. It's
a small wonder they're so tiny and grow so quickly. There are so many small wonders in the world of wildlife rehabilitation.
They're most often small songbirds or waterfowl.
Grow a small wonder.

Every year, we get in many orphaned raptors. Some are able to stay
with a "foster" parent (one of our educational ambassadors), whereas others need extra care to make sure they don't imprint
on humans. Raptors serve a vital role in the food chain as well as providing excellent mouse and snake patrol.
Give us your rapt attention.

This category is dedicated to those unusual patients or rare migrants.
For example, we received an adult Northern Saw Whet Owl in the fall of 2005. The little guy had been hit by a car
and suffered a broken wing. This particular species of teeny owl hasn't been documented in Arkansas for nearly
25 years! Now THAT's a Wild Wanderer.
Help a Wild Wanderer go back home.

Magnificent Marvels are those which we gasp at their beauty, their
stature, rarity, or simply will to live. Magnificent marvels are the cases we look forward to because they are so few
and far between, yet so rewarding. The golden eagle, the bald eagle, the great blue heron and other amazing animals.
Magnificent marvels usually cost us an arm and a leg, so they are at the highest level of adoption.
Marvel at magnificent marvels today.
