Salon

The photos above show the salon as viewed from the companionway (looking forward).

The photo on the left (with the tiled table-top) shows the port side of the salon. You can see on the port wall a solid hardwood built-in bookshelf, rounded-back bench seating, and the dining table. This heavy duty tabletop features stylish hand-made tiles, and the entire table-top can be lowered to the same height as the bench seating. When so configured, this area makes a large, comfortable sleeping area (there is also a foam cushion that fits on top of the tabletop).

The right-hand photo shows the salon's starboard side. The starboard bench seat doubles as a sea berth and is approximately 6' 6" long. There is another built-in bookshelf on the starboard wall. The shelf above / behind the bench seat is spacious enough to hold some books (under the bookshelf), a TV, and the sound system (AM/FM stereo with CD player). In addition to a couple of small cubbyholes, you can also see one of the air-conditioning ducts in the middle of the seat-back.

Not pictured is the passageway through the middle of the Salon, leading from the companionway to the head and then into the forward cabin / v-berth.

The Salon has an abundance of storage: there are storage lockers underneath the entire area below the port and starboard seating, and more storage behind the seat-backs, too.
