Harvey Edwards was raised in Gillett Arkansas and is a 1973 Graduate of Dewitt High School. A week later he was one of
the first all volunteer force joining the U.S. Navy. With wife Helen Wilson Edwards of Dumas they made a full Military career
of 22 years. He is a Vietnam and Desert Storm Veteran, active in the evacuation of Saigon and being in the Persian Gulf from
one month before to one month after the Gulf war. Helen stayed busy as the primary family raiser living in ports such as Virginia,
Yokosuka Japan, Pearl Harbor Hawaii, California and finally as Harvey trained other marine mechanic at great Lakes Illinois
until Retiring from the Navy 1n 1995.. The Edwards have an expanded view of how others view us.Harvey knows that the USA is
the Country he will support and defend the rest of his life. What was disheartening though was to come home to find that the
job situation is worse than when he was growing up in Gillett in the 60's and seventies. Small business is still shunned.
Jobs are inadequate. Our elected representatives represent only those who contribute the most to their coffers. And most tragic,
we are sending our children out of state just to give them an opportunity to succeed. Please read the memorial to their Son
who was away at college. Harvey simply wants to see our people represented fairly and to the standards laid down by our Constitution.
Both the Edwards want to see a better Arkansas. , Helen works two jobs and Harvey works mostly out of State at the Shipyards.
Harvey has been active in community efforts recognizing Veterans as Past Commander of the American Legion. Harvey has a company
called Arkansas Biofuels Enterprises LLC with a company website www.arbiofuel.com . Harvey sees little promise for the Delta until the current mindset is fixed and we get representatives that feel the needs
of the average person.. and truly works on behalf of those folks. They/Us are the We the people that the US Constitution
spoke of.
