The score in this game is somewhat deceiving; it was a close game well into the fourth quarter when Burroughs just collapsed.
David Neill had 2 TD passes in the first quarter to give Hart a 14-0 lead. However, Hart had only five first downs and
27 rushing yards in the first half AND 71 yards in penalties.
Burroughs scored in the second quarter on a halfback option pass for an 81-yard TD to make it 14-6 Hart at halftime.
The third quarter was scoreless.
Hart scored on a field goal early in the fourth to make it 17-6 and then the wheels fell off for Burroughs with Hart scoring
three more TDs in the fourth quarter.
David Neill passed for 249 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Jerry Owens had three receptions for 92
yards and a 40-yard touchdown. He has over 1,000 yards for the season. Kyle Boller also had a TD catch. Billy Brecht rushed
for 105 yards – but with 0 net yards in the first half.
The offensive line continues to be a problem. Neill really gets hit a lot. On one series, he was sacked three times.
