Complete domination by Hart.
In the first half, Westlake had about 25 yards total offense. It would have been substantial negative yards but for one
35-yard run. The Warriors did not complete a pass and that one long run was the only first down and only incursion into Hart
territory in the half.
Meanwhile, Hart scored in 4 minutes following the opening kickoff on a short run by Lafferty (7-0). On Hart's second possession,
the Indians kicked a field goal (10-0). On the third possession, Hart scored again on a short run by Norton midway through
the 2nd quarter to take a 17-0 halftime lead.
Westlake took the second half kickoff at the 20 and on the first play had a 12-yard run for a first down. They then got
8 more on the first Warrior pass completion of the game. The Warriors were then stuffed twice but still went for it on their
own 40 on fourth down. Dumb move. Hart took over on the 40 and scored (it took 10 plays) on a short run by Norton to go up
24-0.
Westlake finally got untracked and starting on the 35 (kickoff was out of bounds) went 17-yard pass, 3-yard run, 14-yard
pass, 31-yard pass for a TD. The PAT was blocked. Hart 24-6.
Hart got a nice run back to the 40 on the ensuing kickoff and then scored 3 plays later on a 52-yard pass to Cody Kase.
Hart 31-6.
After another Westlake 3 and out, Hart, starting on the Westlake 44, scored in 5 plays on a 33-yard pass to Kase. 38-6.
Thereafter the Hart reserves came in (still 3rd quarter). Westlake scored once again with about 4 minutes left in the
game (their first string against our third) and it ended up 38-13.
Hart was better in every aspect of the game. Surprisingly, Hart had far better players which is not usually the case with
Westlake.
