About the site
My goal is to make this site a good resource for Hart history. Hope you enjoy it and feel free to comment in the "Blog"
link -- but keep it civil.
Using the site
The basic idea for the site - which is far from complete - is to have a summary of each season and the season record along
with links to a "statistical summary" and "achievements and fun facts."
There are some links to video clips and photos.
The "season record" sections for many recent seasons have a link to the game summaries that I have been posting
on the internet [click on the score of a game]. Some of these summaries are actually excerpts from letters I wrote to my
sons when they were out-of-state or out-of-country during the season.
Help!
I've spent a lot of time trying to ferret out information using old Hart programs and looking up newspaper stories. Often
these sources conflict (one only has to compare the Signal and the Daily News on any Saturday morning after a game to appreciate
that problem).
If you find any errors or think something should be added or corrected or you just want to comment, let me know on the
"blog" link (the first entry under the link heading).
If you have a source to back up a change or an addition, I'd like to know about that too.
About me
I've lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for over 23 years.
I went to my first Hart game in 1985. Back then, a huge percentage of the population turned out for the games, particularly
the Hart-Canyon matchups. I've been hooked ever since. My sons played for Hart and had a great experience. My boys have long
since graduated and I have no official or unofficial capacity with the school or the program. I do this simply because I really
enjoy it. If you want stats and history about Hart, this is the place.
