Enhance your parenting-skills by asking specific questions related to child-rearing problems, issues, or
approaches. Please don't be shy. When it comes to child-care, there is no such thing as a stupid question.

Child-rearing is the most important and significant thing you will do in your life (although, if you are
close to a definitive solution to ending unnecessary suffering in the world, I will gladly offer my services
to you as a free-of-charge full-time Nanny!). If you're a new parent there is little doubt that, by now, you
have heard enough horror stories about raising children to strike fear in your heart. Well, I abhor
unnecessary fear as much as I do
unnecessary suffering
, and I can tell you first-hand that raising children can be a joyful and fulfilling experience.
Let me expound on this claim by making a simple statement:
Normal babies (without brain-damage) are born with a powerful need for love,
affection, and acceptance. This is a well-established fact. As a result of these needs, a child will strongly
prefer cooperation over confrontation, praise over criticism, reward over punishment, peace over dispute,
and harmony over dissent. Consequently, maintaining or restoring peace and harmony in the home is by
no means an insurmountable
task.

Most parents struggle with the question of trying to determine when, and to what degree, negative
behavior toward their children becomes a detriment to their long-term emotional well-being. Too many
parents worry over this question of where to find the middle ground between
spoiling
their children or treating them too harshly. If I were to address this single concern alone, it would be
enough.

My general
field of study
has been in Psychology with specialized areas in Child-Rearing Practices and Concepts, Developmental
Psychology, Education/Learning, Drug Abuse Treatment and Prevention, Developmental Disorders, and
Child Abuse Prevention. I have work experience in all the above fields.

However, my most telling and significant experience comes through having raised two children from
infancy to beyond their formative years into the most beautiful adult people you'd ever want to know.
