Family History
in Brief: Miss Bertha Violet, later called Bebe, was born in 1886. When her first child was
born in 1904, she gave the baby her own maiden last name, Violet, to use as a first name. When Violet
grew up, she became the mother of Eve Adam, whom she originally named "Green Bough of Life" (Phyllis Eve). Eve
did not get the last name Adam until she married her second husband. Eve, when married to her first husband,
had a daughter named Susan, who later gave birth to her own third child, whom she named Sarah. Much later, Sarah and
her husband named their own daughter Violet.
Yes, the Baby Violet, born the first day
of 2008, was named after Violet, Mother of Eve Adam. May she grow to be as musical and as poetic as her great-great-grandmother.
With music on her father's side as well as her mother's, this is quite likely. Here is her photo of June 18, 2008.
