The gates open and the fog surrounds you. It's cold and chills go up your spine...

The Graveyard contains some of my favorite
characters who died in horror films. Warning: This could spoil the movies
if you haven't seen them, so scroll down slowly or skip this page.
Carrie
Carrie (Sissy Spacek): I was very shocked when Carrie died at
the end of the movie. I liked the character and I felt sorry for her.
The Shining
Dick Hallorann (Scatman Crothers): This man goes through so
much to get to the hotel only to get killed once he gets there!
Pet Sematary
Jud Crandall (Fred Gwynne): He was the only character in the
whole movie that I was actually sad about when he died. The other characters
were somewhat annoying.
Stephen King's IT
Stanley (Richard Masur): Out of the seven main
characters, he was my favorite. So which one of them got killed first? Go
figure.
Scream
Casey (Drew Barrymore): This one was a huge shock!
I had no idea she was going to die so early on in the movie. I don't think
I have ever been more surprised at a movie in my life.
I Know What You Did Last Summer
Helen (Sarah Michelle Gellar): I wasn't exactly sad about her
death. Just frustrated. She was so close to escaping, but she just had to
turn around to see if he was still chasing her. Obviously, you know what
happens next.
Scream 2
Randy (Jamie Kennedy): He survives the first movie only to get
killed in the second one! I loved the character, and I was really sad about
his death.
Halloween Resurrection
Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis):
This ticked me off cause it was like the first five minutes of the movie,
and after all Jamie Lee Curtis' character had been through, it seemed really
dumb. Kind of made me wonder why I ever watched any of the movies,
in the first place. And it made me want to stop watching this one as
well. It sort of just made the whole series pointless in a way.
Sixth Sense
Malcolm (Bruce Willis):
I know people who have seen this movie and guessed this right off the
bat, but I was stunned! Though I thought this was sad, I thought it
was really cool too!
The Others
Grace (Nicole Kidman):
Though The Others was a spooky movie, I also found it highly depressing.
Grace (Nicole Kidman) wasn't exactly my favorite character, but since
almost every character ended up being dead, I just put the main one down.
What can I say? I was shocked when I found out all of them were
dead and being "haunted" by the living. Very interesting.
The Ring
Noah (Martin Henderson):
Ahhh, just when you think all is well...BAM! A little girl comes
through the TV and kills you.
The Gift
Buddy (Giovanni Ribisi):
Though this isn't a typical horror movie, it had some very creepy moments.
Anyway, when it was revealed that Buddy had hung himself, I was so
sad. Troubled character, but I liked him anyway.
The Bride of Frankenstein
The Bride (Elsa
Lanchester): I think The Bride was one of the best horror movie monsters
that Universal made, and she only lasted, what 10 or 15 minutes? Very
disappointing. Good movie, just wish she had more of a role in it.
Night of The Living Dead
Ben (Duane Jones):
I had wanted to see Night of the Living Dead for a long time, and I finally
saw it at a Halloween party. For being such a classic, it was rather
disappointing. And I didn't understand at all why Ben had to get
killed...and not even by zombies! Just by the moronic townspeople,
who figured anything walking was a zombie, so bang bang. Very
frustrating!
Darkness
Regina (Anna Paquin):
This is one of the most annoying movies I have seen in a long time. Although
it may be hip for movies to have bad endings, I just find it a waste of time.
Not only does Anna Paquin die, but EVERYONE dies...except for evil
of course. Damn evil! <shakes fist>
White
Noise
Raymond (Ian McNiece):
I'm sure a lot of people would wonder why I'm putting him, instead of Michael
Keaton. Here's my reason...the movie was good until he died. By the
time Michael Keaton died, there was little connection left between the viewer
and the characters on the screen. White Noise would have been a good movie,
if they had explored Raymond's storyline (his son dying, getting into EVP,
etc). Once he died, the movie went downhill fast.
Boogeyman
Franny (Skye McCole
Bartusiak): This wasn't a HUGE shock, but nicely done none-the-less.
