As promised a couple of weeks ago, I rounded up what I could quickly find of some of the old club posters, calendars, pub photos etc. from 1985-1986 and scanned 'em - just now getting around to putting them up on the web. Only a dozen or so items so far. I know we've got more around, just haven't turned them up yet but I'll add them as I dig them up. Hope you enjoy!

Another week of well over 50 hours of work - what's really frightening is that I'm popping out e-mails on Sunday morning and getting answers back within minutes - so I'm not the only one working these crazy hours. That almost makes it worse! So no time to write much but I did want to pop out a couple of quick thoughts.
I have no use for Hootie (of Blowfish fame) and even less for Burger King, but the new BK ad with Hootie is funny as shit!
I finally learned the VLOOKUP function in Excel - I'm a much happier camper! Now if I can just master the art of the pivot table...
After seeing the stills from Star Wars Ep III posted on Boingboing last week, I'm convinced that the movie would rock if only Lucas had hired Joss Whedon as the dialogue writer. Instead, I suspect I'll be quoting Comic Book Guy after seeing Ep I: "Worst. Star Wars. Ever. I'm only going to pay to see it two or three more times."
I was channel flipping Saturday morning and ran across Biography for Kids on (where else) the Biography channel. I expected something like a bio of Michael Jordan or Brittany Spears but instead got the biography of John Steinbeck. For kids. JennySlash's response was something like - yeah, I can hear the kids now: "Mommy, Mommy, can I eat my bowl of Sugar Bombs in front of the TV so I can watch John Steinbeck? I really loved the Red Pony!"
Went into the video game place in that strip center over on 15-501 at Garrett Road while J was at another store there and picked up some used DVDs. Is there anyone on the planet that doesn't like Princess Bride? Every guy (and they were all guys) in the store commented on what a cool movie it is as I was walking around. Action, comedy, love story, memorable lines - probably the perfect date movie. And, as the guy that rang me up pointed out, Andre the Giant!
I'm actually going to quit this work stuff for a bit and go catch some of the UNC-Maryland game downtown - all work and no play makes Tony Plutonium a cranky old man and I'd like to avoid that...
