Sony CX455

Sony has changed the operation of the Sony CX455 CD player. If you experience track overruns (plays into the next track before playing the next item in the play list) read this.

Windows XP service pack 2.

If you want to use the client /server function of JukeBox 2 with Windows XP service pack 2 you must make some system configuration changes.

If you want to use the new Windows firewall, add C:\Program Files\JukeBox2.exe to the exception list and add TCP/IP port 135 to the exception list. You can restrict this to your local subnet in most cases. Otherwise turn off the Windows firewall.

On the client machines you must add Remote Access permission for ANONYMOUS LOGON. To do this... go to Control Panel then choose Administrative Tools and choose Component Services. Right Click on My Computer then choose Properties. Click on the COM security tab then, under Access Permissions click the Edit Limits button. Click ANONYMOUS LOGON then check the Remote Access box in the bottom pane. Click OK then OK again.

On the server machine you must add Remote Launch and Activation Permission. To do this, use the COM security tab as described above but click the Edit Limits button under Launch and Activate Permissions. Give Remote Launch and Remote Activation permission to Everyone.

Then download this file. Unzip it and run the file GW Server.reg . We recommend that you turn the firewall off.
