Our picturesque, cozy vacation home is a comfortable 3-BR, 2-BA large A-frame on a lakeshore in the Berkshire resort area of rural eastern Columbia County NY, 2 hours due north of New York City and 3 hours west of Boston.
Launch one of our canoes from our dock for paddling about or fishing in the lake, stroll down the road to the neighboring beach area for a swim, bicycle along the backroads among fields and farms, take long walks on the quiet country roads, go hiking on trails in the adjacent mountains, play tennis or golf nearby---or have a game of horseshoes or bocce on the lawn or pingpong in the family room---or simply relax on our spacious back deck and watch the wildlife on the lake in the privacy of our heavily wooded property.
But while the relaxing delights of quiet country living are right there at the chalet, in 1/2 hr you can taste the culture of the nearby Berkshires: music in Tanglewood, modern dance at Jacob's pillow, summer stock in Lenox, and several nearby museums. Or perhaps you would prefer browsing in the many fine shops in nearby towns like Great Barrington or Lenox, or antiquing in the town of Hudson. And casual or fine dining is offered at a variety of nearby restaurants---or simply have a relaxing meal at home, either inside or on the adjacent back deck.

Our chalet is located in a private vacation community which provides maintenance of the private roads and the community water supply, takes care of the lake, private beaches, and the clubhouse, and provides trash pickup. The chalet is on a heavily wooded lot at the dead end of one of the roads, is at the end of the lake, and is therefore very secluded.
