My Guitars
1972 Martin D-35 - I picked it up about 10 years ago when I
traded away my 1985 Gibson 335 Tobacco Sunburst. (Wish I still
had it.) When I got the Martin the top was badly damaged by neglect
and thanks to the Martin Company they replaced the top under warranty
I only had to pay for shipping and a new fret job.
1989 Silver Fender Strat with EMG pickups. This guitar really has a great sound.
Its silver and for rock and blues you can't beat the tone.
It's one made in Japan but for as little as I get out and play it great.
This is my main guitar for playing at church. I replaced the passave EMG pickups
And put in active pickups. It has a great tone and easy to play.
This is my new sweetheart a 1977 ES-335 with Seth Lover pickups. I put some
nice D'Addario EXL-120's on it and it plays like a dream. The bottom end response
really is nice. And with a little distortion, I can even dream I am Larry Carlton.
I also have a silvertone steel guitar. I have never played it the pickups
on it don't work, it makes a great wall hanging.
My Amp collection is:
I am very pleased with my Mesa Boogie Mark III, which I got in the
Mid-80's. It's has a big sound in a very small box. In 1991 it had
a short and I took it to a local music store to fix it but it never had the zing
that it did new so I was sad it's voice was gone. Two years ago I sent it back
to Mesa Boogie in California and they brought it back to life.
Now I remember why I paid what I did for it.
I have a old Peavey Classic Fifty 2x12 amp that I use for practicing at the house it does
a good job for playing the blues.
My other stuff:
I highly recommend the T.C. Electronic Stereo Chorus. It costs lots of bucks
but it beats BOSS hands down.
I just bought for Christmas the new POD from Line-6 it is now
the main device I play on stage with my Strat and ES-335.
I also have an Adreena Lynn effect that has really good drum sounds
built into it. I us it for practicing.
I also have a Lexicon ReFlex I use from time to time but it stays on the
recording equipment.
