PATRICK EARLEY was born in Ireland about 1827. The family was enumerated in the census of 1860, 1870 and 1880. There are at least three Patrick Earleys floating about New Haven in the 1850's. I suspect that he arrived with most of the other Early's in the early 1850's. The first listing is the birth of his son Michael in 1854. His occupation was a hostler, which is a caretaker of horses. He died September 21, 1898 at Springside Home in New Haven. The cause of death was arterial sclerosis.
ROSE COLLINS was born in Ireland about 1830. The 1900 census lists her birth as March 1833. She is living in the home of a William Kennedy. The year of immigration is listed as 1840, which seems doubtful. She is listed as a widower but the number of children is missing. The date of death is uncertain.
MICHAEL EARLEY was born October 18, 1854 in New Haven, Connecticut. He was living at home and his occupation was listed as a hostler in the 1880 census. He is no longer listed as living in New Haven by the 1887 city directory. I have a note that he is listed as being in the army in the 1898 city directory.
MARY ANN EARLEY was born October 29, 1856 in New Haven, Connecticut. She was living at home when enumerated by the 1880 census. Don't know what happen to her.
WILLIAM F. EARLEY was born August 5, 1860 in New Haven, Connecticut. His occupation was listed as a coachman in the 1880 census. He was listed occasionally as a laborer in city directories. He died June 17, 1898 at Springside Home in New Haven.
ROSE EARLEY was born in 1863 in New Haven and died 11 months later of cholera on September 18, 1864. She was buried at St. Bernards Cemetery.
MARGARET E. EARLEY was born March 8, 1869 in New Haven. She was enumerated in the 1880 census. That's all i know.
