MARY SYKES was born about 1821 in Stainland, Yorkshire England. Her father's name was John Sykes according to the marriage certificate. She died December 27th, 1890 at Swallow Lane, Golcar, Yorkshire, England. She is buried at the Golcar Baptist Church.

Generation No. 2

EDWARDS HAIGH was born May 3rd, 1857 in Stainland, York England. His occuaption was listed as a stonemason in the 1881 census. He married Hannah Dyson February 12th, 1881 at New NorthRd. Baptist Church in Huddersfield. In the 1901 census, they were living in Blackpool. He died February 5th, 1916 in Blackpool, as a result of being struck by an object at work. He was buried at Golcar, Baptist church.

HANNAH DYSON was born about 1858 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire England. The emigration record lists Madeley(?), perhaps this is a section of Huddersfield. The 1881 census lists longwood, which is a section of Huddersfield, i believe. She married Edward Haigh February 12th 1881. Upon her husband's death, she emigrates to America, to live with her daughter, abigail. She arrived in New York, September 15, 1916 aboard the SS. St. Paul. She died February 27th, 1941, and is buried in Glendale cemetery.

ABIGAIL ALICE HAIGH was born August 18, 1884 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire England. She married Albert Entwistle March 11, 1907 in Orange, New Jersey. She married James Anderson about 1925. She died January 1, 1962 in West Orange, New Jersey.

JANET HAIGH bn. 1883 Huddersfield Yorkshire England. She emigrated to Akron Ohio sometime in the early 1900's. She married Willis Kneeves in Yorkshire about 1909. Family emigrated March 1, 1913 aboard the passenger ship Celtic, from Liverpool to New York and then to Akron, Ohio.
