FRANCIS EARLEY was born in Ireland probably in the 1820's or 1810's. We strongly believe that he is from County Leitrim and it is possible that he was born in Ballingera Parish, near Lough Allen. There exist a number of Frances Earleys in Griffith's valuation.

MARY GURKIN was born in Ireland probably in the 1820's or 1810's. Gurkin is a variant of the surname Durkin and is found throughout Leitrim and Roscommon. Nothing more is known about her.

JAMES EARLEY was born in County Leitrim, Ireland about 1830, according to the 1860 and 1870 Federal census. He is the presumed brother of John and by extension Daniel. He married Catharine Moriarty, apparently not in New Haven. He died May 16, 1871 in New Haven, Connecticut.

JOHN EARLEY was born in County Leitrim, Ireland about 1834. He fought in the Civil War as an infantryman in Company F of the 12th regiment of the Connecticut volunteers. After the war, he supposedly fought in the "liberation of Canada". In subsequent, years he spent much of his time in the soldiers home in Noroton Heights and the household of his brother James.

DANIEL B. EARLEY was born in County Leitrim about 1840. The census of 1860,1870,1880,1900,1910 and his marriage record diverge as to his true age. He married Hannah O'Leary January 20, 1863 at St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut. He died December 20, 1919 in New Haven, Connecticut.

ELLEN EARLEY was born May 6, 1862 in New Haven Connecticut. She married Frank Leonard September 19, 1881 at St. John's Church in New Haven. They move to Buffalo in 1884. In 1900 census, she reappears and is married to Frank Fisher. It appears they were married in 1889. No children.

MARY EARLEY was born June 8, 1865 in New Haven, Connecticut. She married Charles Hartung December 17, 1884 at Lutheran Siebke Church. She was living in Orange, Connecticut at the time of the 1920 census.

DANIEL FRANCIS EARLEY was born in 1864 in New Haven, Connecticut. He married Sarah Dunbar abt. 1887 in New London, Connecticut. He was in prison at the time of the 1900 census. Can't find him in subsequent censuses. His son Daniel is not living with his mother in the 1900 census.

She moved to Newark, New Jersey with her husband after their marriage. She dies in the home of her daughter Rose November 5, 1949 in Avon, New Jersey. She is buried with her husband at the Ferris family plot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange, New Jersey.
