AKC CANINE EXPERIENCE

We would like to educate and encourage new exhibitors and Junior Handlers, and promote the sport of dogs!

Please join us for this fun event with friendly competition, Special Attractions, and an AKC Sanctioned B Match for German Shorthaired Pointers (Dogs 3 mos. of age & older).

·         Raffle with nice prizes!

·         German Shorthaired Pointer Breed, Breeder’s Referral & Rescue info.

·         Refreshments Available.

·         Free Parking, lots of shade trees.

Special Attractions   -   10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

 

Mr. Lou Torres, AKC Registered Handler, will teach and officiate for the following Special Attractions, which are open to all exhibitors with AKC registrable breeds of dogs that are 3 mos. of age & older (including dogs that are champions and/or spayed/neutered):

  • Conformation Training Class – Explanation of ring procedures and helpful handling tips on presenting your dog by an AKC Registered professional handler.  Good practice before the competition begins!   Fee $2.50 ringside (or you can add this class to your Match entry form & fees).
  • Canine Movement Competition - Classes offered for dogs: 3 mos. to 12 months; 12 months to 24 months; and Open.  Prizes for 1st – 4th in each class and to the dog selected as Best in Canine Movement Competition.  Fee $2.50 ringside (or you can add this class to your Match entry form & fees).
  • Junior Handling Competition - One class is offered for all Junior Handlers less than 18 years of age.  Prizes for 1st though 4th and for Best Junior Handler.  FREE.

 

AKC Independent Sanctioned B Specialty Match   -   11:00 a.m.

For German Shorthaired Pointers Only, Must be  3 mos. of age & older, no champions or spayed/neutered dogs.

Entries accepted  from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  day of match only.  Fee:  $7.50

Prize for 1st – 4th in each class; Rosettes and Prize for Best of Breed and for Best of Opp. Sex to BOB in Match. Edit
