The German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Orange County is a not-for-profit
Club for fanciers of purebred German Shorthaired Pointers. It is American Kennel Club licensed and a member club of the German
Shorthaired Pointer Club of America. Although we are based in Orange County, California, we also have members residing in
other Southern California counties.
We'll use this site to get the word out on our activities, which include Conformation
shows for GSP (with Junior Showmanship and Sweepstakes classes), Hunting Tests & Field Trials for pointing breeds, Obedience
and Rally Trials (open to all AKC breeds), GSP Rescue assistance, training classes, educational programs, and membership meetings
and awards.

Potential members
must attend two Club activities before their application will be voted on by the membership. Current ownership of a GSP is

PayPal is
accepted for Debit or Credit card payments for our events with pre-entry, with an additional $4.00 service
fee per entry, per day. Calculate and send your payment online through your own secure PayPal account payable to: gspcoc@earthlink.net (Your bank will indicate payment was made to 'Linda Arcati',
who is our Treasurer). Mail your entry forms with a copy of your PayPal email payment confirmation to be received prior
to close of entries! If making more than one entry, you may may combine your entry and service fees into
one PayPal payment order.

This event is limited to purebred German Shorthaired Pointers
3 mos. of age & older only. Entries taken day of match only; from
9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Special Attractions

a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Lou Torres, AKC Reg. Handler will teach and officiate. Handlers with GSP 3 mos. of age &
older are allowed (including champions and spayed/ neutered dogs). Fee $2.50 -
Pay ringside; or you may add to your Match entry form and fees.

Conformation
Training Class - get helpful handling tips from a professional handler and practice before the competition begins!

Canine Movement Competition - Awards for 1st through 4th. Dog age groups offered: 3 mos. to 12 months; 12 months to 24 months; and Open. Prize awarded to Best GSP
in Movement

Junior Handling
Competition - One class for all Junior Handlers under 18 years of age. Award for 1st though 4th; Prize
for Best Junior Handler. FREE.
AKC Independent Specialty Sanct. B-Match
11:00 a.m. - Noon. Conformation
Match Judge: Kathy Webster, Santa Ana, CA. Entry fee $7.50 per dog. For GSP purebreds only, minimum age 3 months,
no spayed/ neutered dogs or AKC conformation champions to be entered in the Match.

Handling Practice Sessions

10:30 a.m. at Kraemer Park, 201 No. Bradford, Placentia,
CA. Since the parking lot area is sometimes in use for special events at the park, we will now meet at the back parking
lot near the fountain, on the opposite end of the park. From Chapman, turn north on Walnut, which is west of Bradford.

HUNTING TESTS
November 22 & 23, 2008
Hunting Tests (Pointing Breeds only). Held at San Jacinto Wildlife
Area, Lakeview, CA. Entries Close: Saturday, 11/15/2008 (or when daily limit has been reached). Junior
Hunter class entry fee: $35 per dog, per day. Senior or Master Hunter class entry fee: $38 per dog, per day.
We expect very
large entries for our Hunting Tests. Late entries, and entries without fees, will not be accepted. Please
submit your entries early to avoid disappointment!
Master & Senior braces run first, followed by Juniors.
Running orders will be sent by email to the entrants as soon as they are available on Wed. or Thurs.
Be sure to put your email address on your entry forms!
