LACROSSE

This section of my site is dedicated to the Windward  Varsity Lacrosse Team, champions of the 1996 Orange County Youth Lacrosse League.

Windward Lacrosse

Lacrosse is the coolest sport in the world.  It combines the physical bruteness of football or hockey with the finesse of basketball or soccer.  I started playing lacrosse last year as a sophmore and will continue with it throughout my high school and possibly college career.  My school, Windward, has an excellent lacrosse team which is currently a member of two leagues in California.  During the winter season, we play in the Condor League which is located mostly in Central California.  This league provides excellent competition for us and we have just completed our first season in this league (1996-97).  We went 4-3 with key victories over Cate and Dunn, and we are now part of the Division I Condor League.
The second league for which there is a Los Angeles Club Team consisting of primarily Windward players, is the Orange County Youth Lacrosse League, located in Los Angeles and Orange County.  Windward has been a part of this league for a while now and two seasons ago (1995-96), we won our first league championship.  I am proud to say that I was a member of this team and we went to the California state finals where we got our asses whooped (but we had fun doing it).  We hope to regain the championship again this year.
