Reprinted from various issues of the National Model Railroad Association Bulletin

Beginner's Dictionary

Ok, I'll admit it right up-front: I can't draw.  But that didn't stop me from being a cartoonist for several years.

The following cartoons -- which didn't look very good to start with, and are reproduced even worse here -- are a small sampling of this series I did for the Bulletin.   Basically the cartoons were "redefinitions" of well known model railroading terms.  Two of them ran in every issue of the Bulletin for 3 years.
