This Week

Mary Jane Annas started chemo 3/24/03. She said you can start collecting your "bald" jokes for her, as she will need the humor.
She asked to share a warning with you for the women in your life. As she spent time with her oncologist she learned that contrary to current advertising, women who have had cervical, breast or other female related cancer SHOULD NOT take Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy. So-called natural based supplements are not safe and effective as advertised.

Gary Basham's sister, Donna is facing surgery for diverticulitis. Mari Basham reports son Steven is in the process of joining the Marines. Please pray that he gets both medical waivers he needs in order to be accepted.

Shannon Bender's aunt is is home. She was told she had 'cellulites' and will probably have future bouts. Shannon's dad (her brother) suffers the same on a monthly basis. They both have severe weight problems.
Lorri Bender's brother, Frank Litke, needs prayer. He lives in Chicago and has a young family, with one on the way. He was selected for jury duty. He was the only juror to not find the defendant guilty of murder. Now they have thrown him off the jury and are threatening perjury charges against him because of his past incarceration. He told the judge during selection he didn't think he should participate due to his pleading guilty to theft at age 18. The judge allowed him on anyway. He is afraid his children's friends will find out about this and not be allowed to play with them.

Sarah Burmeister has a praise, her new glasses arrived and she likes them. She will see her doctor on 3/24/03 and hopes to get a walking boot.

Shelley Cambanes suffers from her Asthma. Recent hospitalization and tests show chronic changes. She has been able to return to work at which time she learned she is being considered for a promotion. Pray for the application process. This job would mean she would not have to be "on call." Shelley started the new job Monday, 3/31.

Kathryn Carpenter's husband Pat needs a job.

Heather and Kurtis Curfew. moved to separate apartments. The apartment complex is near their aunt and uncle, Denise & Kevin Holliday. Heather is "in love" with a boy who is an atheist. Heather now professes to be agnostic.

Jim Czuba needs a new job. He asked prayer for his roommate, Michael, facing legal trouble.

Paul Del Tredici's dad's health is declining. He is Boswell for bleeding on the brain. He had surgery 3/24/03 to relieve the pressure. At 4:30pm Pam reported Robert came through surgery and the Dr. was pleased with the outcome. It is hard to see him with the drainage tubes. Robert's brother is due to come to town this week to see him.
Paul and his dad have hearing problems. Mr. Del Tredici has hearing aids he needs to get adjusted to. Paul still needs to admit there is a problem and get it checked out.
Pam Del Tredici reports Paul went to the doctor and had an EKG which showed possible left atrium problems. He is also having some neurological problems and has been referred to a neurologist. He goes to the cardiologist this week. She asked prayer that there is nothing serious going on.
Pam's son, Chris Phelps, is a member of the Coast Guard National Strike Force. Several members are in Iraq now and Chris will be expected to rotate over there. Pray for safety of those there and for Chris as he deals with horrendous situations all the time.

Tim Files's friends, Debbie and Kevin Stelton. Their father suffers with pancreatic cancer. He is in the hospital with an infection. The cancer has spread to his stomach. His wife is in denial and will not place him on Hospice. Mr. Stelton was the caregiver for his own mother. Pray also for Kevin to accept the Lord's saving gra
Tim Files's co-worker, Hope, lost her husband 3 weeks ago. It is also the year anniversary of her mother's death. Her son is having a hard time with everything.
Tim & Susan have been going through Garner Joiner's things and dividing everything up between family members. They asked prayer for strength and family harmony. Hope is doing better.

Mike Fugate asked prayer for him and wife Ruby. Their health suffers. Ruby is to see an oncologist regarding some suspicious test results. Ruby was ill Saturday, 3/29.

Dena Hamblen's co-worker's mom had breast cancer spread to the brain. The co-worker and the mom are not Christians. Dena recently visited Dena Dick while in Idaho. David Dick is in Kuwait.

David Johnson's father, Cal is driving to Nashville and flying out next week for a visit. Pray his driving is without incident. He was in church Sunday, 3/30.

Lloyd & Sherry Jolls need a car.

Richard Jurden is happy to be a member of the SS class. His friend, Amelia suffers from breast cancer. He asked prayer for wisdom as to how to help her. He hopes to marry her someday.

Barbara Keske's brother, David, is home from National Guard duty in Germany.

Jeremy Koeninger is in Burkina Faso, Africa. Pray for his health, his mission and his parents. He will stay until the end of July.

Leslie Mickley asked prayer for Cindy & Jay Meahger. Their baby was born at 24 weeks, needing heart surgery. Sadly, the baby died.
The Mickley's have friends whose mother recently passed away.
Dale thanks you for your prayers on behalf of his sister, Janita Webb. her personal matter has been taken care of. Continue to pray for her.

Terry Monreal,new to our class, will be in a court trial April 3. She asked prayer for strength and the truth to come out.

Marvina Pinney's niece, Liza, is in a bad relationship. Pray God can lead her away from this destructive path. Marvina also asked prayer for a friend, Sandy Woods. Sandy's father is very sick in Boston. Sandy lives here and has been traveling back and forth to care for him.

Christine Ramirez asked prayer for friends who are divorcing. Christine's father is back in the hospital. Christine wants to encourage you to use the website that Gary Ricker has provided for us. She says it is such a good way to keep up with the class, especially for those who can't be in class all of the time. It is helpful for you to contribute to the site with news etc. keeping everyone informed.

Jennifer Reese asked prayer for her husband, Jim. He serves on the USS Constellation battle ship in striking distance of Iraq.

Gary Ricker is still without a job. His hearing has been good from Saturday 3/29, to Tuesday, April 1. His unsaved brother will be in town April 2 & 3.

Susan Ricker spends night and day caring for Beth, Gary's mother. Remember Susan as she deals with many unpleasant tasks as she cares for an adult "child."

Debra Rodriquez asked that we pray for Phillip, age 40 who just found out he has Melanoma cancer in his lymph nodes. He has been given a 50/50 chance to survive.

Polly Small continues to have health problems.

Vicky Snyder's 18 yr old niece, Stephanie, is living with her. Pray Vicky can help her come to know Jesus. Vicky also asked prayer for daughter Lindsey. Vicky is having to show "tough love" regarding a boyfriend.

Karen Sparks started a new job 3/24/03. A co-worker, Craig Bivins age 32, with 3 young children, has pancreatic cancer that has spread to the lymph notes. Karen also asked prayer for daughter, Jenny, who is living with a boy, treats Karen badly and is making false accusations against her father. God has placed a person on her heart for forgiveness/reconciliation. One additional request is personal.

Lori Tilbury's Uncle, Ron Fortner is to have bi-pass surgery soon. Lori's co-worker Sarah Sorensen is on bed rest for at least 2 weeks until her twins are born. She is taking medication to stop contractions.

Mike Tilbury asked us to remember the friends we have in the military, as well as all of our military. He prays for victory. Mike provided these addresses:
