This photo was not identified, but after careful inspection, it seems very likely to be a young Thomas.

Named for his uncle Thomas William Humes, the famous clergman, and President of the University of Tennessee, there is evidence this Thomas also became a Episcopal minister. He definitely was a battle hardened Confederate soldier, who also was a Prisoner of War for a year.

Thomas married Mary Sexton of Connecticut, after the war, and was father to Alfred Sexton, Margaret, Andrew Russell, Henrietta, Charles McGhee, and Dora.
