DEM> Actually, since I am a confirmed bachelor, she might even
DEM>look on that as a positive step in the right direction
DEM>(Chortling).
SB>
SB>Bachelor? You? Nah......can't see it. Pretty smart move,
SB>but nah, can't see it.
I climb, and the breeze
Ripples through my feathers
Exhilarated and tingling with merriment
As I ride the thermals and
View the grandeur of the
Brilliant white snow that
Sparkles in my passing and
Hugs the alpine summits beneath me.
Memories of times below when
Oft I have chanced to meet
Wenches, lasses, ladies, whores,
Virgins, witches, maidens, bitches,
Charmers, heart breakers, ball busters,
Damsels, flirts, wounded warriors,
Kittens, tigresses, and trollops.
In all of them, I perceived a
lack,
But more than that, I observed
A quality of acquisitiveness that
Rang the clamor of bells of dread in my
Heart. Keeping me from deeper enjoyment
Of a relationship, relegating me to
Shallow, and surface encounters,
Flitting from blossom to blossom,
Tireless and persevering while
Holding my breath, “I hope this will
Be the one.” But each time
My anticipation is extinguished,
My tremulous advances either
Rejected, or welcomed by Hell's own Handmaiden.
Oh, rich have been my experiences,
Varied and complex the spirits of
These lusty and contentious encounters.
But not in a soul of them have I ever
Felt the ignition of a conflagration nor
Been able to envision in the
Sun-downing of my years,
Sitting together peacefully,
Contented and busily engaged
Side-by-side, speaking volumes
To each other with just our glances.
There have been those that
intrigued
My interest, and piqued my emotions,
Ravaged my tranquility and plucked
My forlorn heartstrings. Alas, alone I
Languish, a lessening desire to
Seek out that perfect singularity,
Fighting off the avalanche of
Bitterness and hollow emptiness.
I know in my heart of hearts that
My soulmate is searching also
Looking and beginning to feel
Desperation and disappointment.
The precise instant I look into
her eyes,
I will feel the potent magic of the
Moment and my oft-stated resolute
Plans of an isolated ending
Will be rent asunder by
Her long-awaited glance.
Then all of the decades of
Lonely nights, and all the
Tears of sadness will be
Magically transformed and
Time will dawn, rather than end.
Come to me my love,
Come and let us share what we
Have been hoarding and storing up
The love and joy and enfolding
Oneness that our two souls will
Make. We will ignite the Universe
With our love and the flame
Of our passion will cause
Even the sun to avert its
Glance in awe of our resplendent
Radiance, shining forth and
Burning our pain away with
Its loving and enfolding
Rays of brilliance.
