Re: Traditions in Literature!
This is the third year in a row,
That you, I have come to know,
With all of your “grins” and smiles,
With all of your youth and feminine wiles.
You thought that I would not
remember,
Though last you signed on in late September!
But here is your holiday poem, from me,
A Valentine, is a tradition, you see.
I would not be likely to face,
The world, if I were to misplace,
A verse to Dana, from this old SYSOP,
To know the joy, and see a tear drop.
You are one year older this year,
I'll see you less and less, I fear,
But, still your stopping by you see,
Still brings to my heart, a sigh to me!
To know that you still care,
Came to my screen to share,
A moment of your, oh so busy life,
Take a break from your teenager's strife.
Things sometimes are hectic at
home,
So that's why I wrote you this poem,
Though Donald is dumping young Elena,
You're always welcome here, sweet Dana!
So even if the sun don't shine,
Be my love, be my Valentine,
Sprawled in the living-room, flopped on the couch,
It's all a lie, I'm not really a grouch!
I just have a rough exterior,
But my words for you are passing superior,
I leave you now, to take my rest,
I end my poem Dana, you are the BEST!
