As the Universe unfolds its mysteries, and as I align myself with it and its purpose, I find that I have to worry less about you and what you are, and concentrate instead on me and what I am. This is what freedom means to me.
This means the overbearing mother no longer can tyrannize me, the Jim Jones' and Hitlers' cannot influence me, because I do not seek to be controlled.
This means that I am free to do what I please. This does not mean that what I please will be at your expense. Why should I have to derive my pleasure at the altar of your sacrifice? But it does mean (on a very simplistic level) that if you try to manipulate me, I will avoid your manipulation, and will not enslave myself to you. I will follow the Laws of Man where the Laws of Man are for my benefit -- which most laws are -- but I am free of you and your opinion. It is a blessed freedom when one grows to the point that they make their own decisions and no longer allow others to live their life for them.
Of course, if you are a controller, if you depend upon someone else's subjugation for you to enjoy your life, if you need to control me, then you will bemoan my attainment of this level of freedom.
There are many plateaus above this one, but as each is reached, a greater alignment with the Universe and its laws is attained and a lesser need for me to depend on outside influences to achieve my needs is reached. Most people, who depend on enslaving others, cry out in fear when my freedom is understood.
I will no longer allow parasites to feed off of my energy and love, to my detriment, creating a bondage of my spirit, so they may 'enjoy' their freedom.
This is a healthy philosophy, not hedonism. My enjoyment is no longer at anyone else's expense. As I continue to grow and learn, I am granted greater and greater freedom from fear and captivity. I begin to read the words of Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, and others and see that this releasing of myself, enables me to become what I am here to become.
So do not attempt your tricks and try to keep me where you have control of my spirit, I will not acknowledge your right to my life, nor will I place my future at your whim. If this rankles you, then you are the one that needs to correct yourself, not me.
Hitler and Manson were able to exist because others sought to allow them make their decisions for them and did not exist in freedom, love and learning. The Universe deals out harsh lessons for those who follow this path. As an instructive exercise, review the Rev. Jim Jones, or any person who can sway others to make their desires subordinate to their own. Look at television and examine the class of person who is trapped and enthralled by tele-evangelists.
These are slaves.
