Never, Never Again!

MNW> A soft white blanket of fog
 MNW> Covered the ocean bay
MNW> Where green trees of cypress
 MNW> Grew on craggy shores
 MNW>
MNW> Ahh to hell with it.  I can't think of anything to write.
MNW> Don't try and write hung-over it doesn't work...  Or at
MNW> least it's not working today for me...

Never, Never Again!

Bright piercing flashes of ominous silence
Reverberate in my swollen, prickly mind.
My eyes follow my head to where the cobalt blue
Waves come thundering onto the shiny black-moss
Slicked rocks, covered with rivulets of snow white
Foam. My tongue feels furry and foreign in my mouth.
The lashes of my eyes are crusted so I can
Barely see through my pounding bloodshot orbs.

My gaze pauses as I espy the "Lone Cypress,"
Perched in mute glory upon the out-flung rocks of Point Lobos.
A seagull wheels and screes and I groan
With the harshness of its piercing cry.
My hands follow the distress message from my muddled mind
Coming up to clutch at my pounding temples.

I think I will litter the pristine California
Shore, with the last undigested, drunken meal, I
Wolfed down, now a cold greasy-lump in my stomach,
Which rumbles ominously as gas escapes
Explosively from my sphincter.

I belch, and the burning vapors singe my
Throat and nose hairs and make my eyes water.
Why am I standing motionless here on this precipice?
I have to get back to my hooch, take a shower, and get
Ready for the party tonight!
