My Inventory
Finally. I decided that I was time to clean my inventory. I have been in Second Life for almost a year now and stuff builds up. I must have almost 20 objects named object and plenty of random junk. It took me the greater part of two hours, but its finally clean. I was amazed at how much stuff was in there.
When I started out on my cleaning, my objects folder was a mess. When I opened it, the scroll bar became very small. It actually lagged me to browse it. I kept it sorted by date and there were a number of unnamed builds and recent purchases at the top. I created a bunch of folders and put each item into its perfect location. The rest went to the trash. I had a lot of stuff from my first days in world. Back then, I took every object that was free to copy, amazed at just having it. As a result, I had several kinds of particle spewers and roughly 20 colored candles. All of that went. I found a lot of items that I bought and never used. A personal organizer before the days of event announcements. A hat. A umbrella. Several cars. Scripting tutorials. I'm giving lots of this away for free as fun gifts this holiday season. You might log in and find one of these waiting for you.
That was just the objects folder. If you took a look at my clothing or textures folders, they would be in a similar state. I've just about cleaned up the objects. I can actually see the entire folder without having to scroll. Now to order those clothes.
