Tip of the Day
The following tips or thoughts will give you an idea of our thinking on the golf swing and what makes it work!

Good iron play begins with allowing your club to descend downward on the golf ball as you swing. One of the major faults of amateur players is to try and lift or scoop the ball off the ground. To start to correct this problem, understand that all of your irons contain a certain amount of loft. A descending blow on the ball couses the ball to compress into the grooves of the iron, then role up the face of the club. That's what makes the ball go up. As strange as it sounds, down equals up in the golf swing!

For driver play we need to have two key thoughts - tee the ball high (half of the ball over the clubhead) and make sure your ball position is forward in your stance. These two keys will produce carry and direction with this very important club!

Lastly, always spend most of your practice time on your chipping and putting. Chipping properly will improve your full swing and saving those few extra putts per round will lower your score faster than any other skill. Work hard on getting the ball close and into the hole!
