Studio work- regardless of the setting- is tough mentally and physically. Almost any adjective can be used to describe
the aspects of it: hot, exciting, frustrating boring, etc. There are plenty of resources for musicians going into the studio
online and in book stores, here is the meat of their advice:
- Rehearse your music before coming into the studio
- Have all you equipment in the best possible working condition
- Bring spare whatevers (batteries, strings, etc.)
- Be punctual
- Plan your studio work and time (G.O. Recording will be happy to help with this, so your time in-studio is spent
most efficiently)
- Be mentally prepared to concentrate
