There was a gentleman who was sincerely angry with me because in the last email blast after the Cloture
Vote passed I dared suggest that Republicans burn their cards and register as independent, Constitution Party or even Democrat.
That last one was on my part an attempt at humor in a dark time. We are looking at this issue tearing our
country apart and this gentleman was ANGRY at me because I dared suggest voting Democrat and I left his party out of the short
list of alternatives. I did not list the following parties either as alternatives:
The Constitutionalist Party
The Libertarian Party
The Green Party
The Socialist Party
The Pagan Party
The Communist Party
The Neo-Socialist Party
... you get the point yet?
I meant no insult to him, I meant no insult to his party but the truth is there aren't even 100 people
in his party at all! Maybe there are 500! But the truth is that when you change your party affiliation you have three choices,
Republican, Democrat, and Other Minority Party. No wonder his party didn't immediately pop into my head!
All this to say that if we continue to splinter away from those conservatives that are angry enough to leave
the GOP because this guy or that guy isn't part of ones' homemade political party we will never be able to stop this
descent into madness called 'amnesty'. Not to say that this party is bad, it's not! But at a time like this ALL conservatives
have to stick together regardless of party or quite simply we will lose our country!
If we can't swallow our pride and unite on the issues that matter, then we truly are just a bunch of 'useful
idiots' for the RNC, especially when we try to reinvent the wheel and found a new party. The Constitution Party is a national
party in existence for 15 years, they have a national organization, a local presence, and national candidates. Is the CP a
perfect party? NO! But they stand for what the GOP used to stand for, without apology.
I could go over here in my corner and start a party, hey, call it the Reagan Party! You can go over there
and start your party and we can hate each other as much as the Dems and the Reps do. OR, we can get over our differences and
join together on the issues that matter and help save this country!
If not, we are going to wake up in Mexamericanada very soon, but hey, your party will still be there, good
for you!
