The Second Coming
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare
a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am, there ye may be also.
I have been asked many times what the answer
is to the troubled times in which we are living. People are suffering economically,
emotionally, physically, and especially spiritually. The ultimate remedy for
all our problems as Christians is the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth.
This event will take place in two stages. First, there will be what we refer to as The Rapture. I
Thessalonians 3:13-18 explains that Jesus will bring those who have died in Christ to receive their glorified bodies. Then the living, born-again Christians will be glorified and be taken up to meet the
Lord in the air. Following the Rapture there will be seven years of Tribulation
in which God’s wrath will be poured out on the inhabitants of the earth. Most
of the earth’s population will die during this period. (Read Revelation 6 – 18)
At the end of the Tribulation Jesus will return
to this earth to reign from Jerusalem for the next one thousand years. We call this “The Millennium.” (Revelation
19-20)
The question we must ask is not, “Will
Jesus come again?” or, “When will Jesus come again?” but, “Are you ready when Jesus comes again?”
The only way to be ready for Jesus' return is to be sure you are saved according
to the Bible. If you are, the Second Coming will be the fulfillment of ultimate
joy. If you are not saved, the Second Coming of Jesus will be the end of all
hope of Heaven for you. You must be saved before He returns. If you would like to be saved, click How To Be Saved and follow God’s instructions in the Bible. Then join us in serving Christ
until He comes again. Let us know if you have been saved so that we can share
in your joy and send you some material to help you in your Christian life.
