78 RPM Record Sleeves


A variety of companies released 78 RPM records.  Several records sleeves that are representative of the type of art and advertising they employed can be viewed below.

A number of stores such as Montgomery Ward and Company, F.W. Woolworth Company, and Sears, Roebuck & Company sold their own brand of records.

Banner Records were sold by the S.S. Kresge Company.  The marketing message is obvious -- They play on any phonograph.

Columbia Records

A Columbia Grafonola record sleeve. Here, the Columbia company uses the record sleeve to advertise their phonographs.
