This story gets a little twisted. I bought back the Vega that I traded in to get my Dr Pepper car . She sat on the side
of my old shop for about a year while I figured out what I was going to do with her. Then I came across this 85 T Type.
I sold the Vega to a friend and bought this car. The owner told me the engine was junk, that it would run for a few minutes
and steam would come out the tail pipes and it knocked real bad. Turns out the heater hose on the heater valve was loose
and dripped down the back of the engine and the turbo was broken. The exhaust side was rattling around in the housing. I
installed some fuses that were missing and put fresh gas in the tank and she fired up. I drove her for about 6 months or
so after getting a low mile turbo off the internet until the oil pump went out. NOW it needs an engine.
When I got this car, someone in it's past had replaced the original 200-4R with a TH350 and it had a single 2" exhaust.
I got ahold of another 200-4R and modified it as close to a BQ as I could. It has the original servo from my 85 GN and is
completely rebuilt to stock specs. I picked up a short block from a friend and had some turbo heads rebuilt. She is practicaly
a new car. Everything is rebuilt or new, even the paint. The original Y-pipe from my GN is in this car with dual mufflers
out back. Now I just need a positraction for her.
