Monkees at the North Pole
By:
Mickys411 and Lisa    Rated G

It was that time of year once again when the colors red and green were everywhere, every shop and store showed off their amazingly done display windows, and every home was decorated to boot with lights, garland and a tree in every home.
It was indeed Christmas time.
Everyone's favorite time of year, especially the Monkees.
And this year was no exception, the weather was a perfect cool temperature, the pad was decorated, it as fancy as the other houses on their block but it was nicely done and they made a good amount of money from gigs, not only to pay this month's rent, but with plenty leftover to buy gifts.
On this ordinary day, the Monkees were practicing for an up-coming gig, when they heard a knock on the door.
"It can't be Babbit," said Davy.
"Yeah, we just paid him the rent," said Micky.
"Maybe we have to pay back rent too," said Peter.
"Never mind, I'll get it," said Mike.
He placed his guitar down and answered the door.
It wasn't Mr. Babbit their landlord, but a messenger.
"Telegram for the Monkees," said the messenger.
"That would be us," said Mike.
As the messenger handed him the note, Davy, Micky and Peter approached the door as well. The guys thanked the messenger for the note, and then went to the dining room/kitchen table to read it.
As the guys looked at the note, they saw that this was no ordinary letter, but bright red piece of paper with sparkling gold lettering.
"What a pretty letter we got," said Peter.
"I wonder who sent us this letter?" asked Davy.
"Let's read it and find out," said Micky.
Mike then began to read the letter.
"Dear Monkees:
We hope you are doing well.
Unfortunately all is not well in the North Pole.
Not only do half the elves but Santa have fallen ill due bad colds.
We are far behind in our work because of this and since you've always been there in out time of need we once again call upon your services.
In other words: WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Our good friends Sugar and Spice will be here soon with a sleigh to take you to the North Pole.
Meet us at the workshop with more details.
See you soon.
Your friends Tick and Tock"

"Oh no Santa is sick, we have to help him!" cried Peter.
"I know we helped Santa and the elves in the past but what can we do?" asked Davy.
"I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see when that sleigh gets here to take us to the North Pole," said Mike.
"Yeah, maybe Tick and Tock's friends will tell us what's going on," said Micky.

"Let's dress warmly and pack for the trip." Mike told the others, "It'll be pretty cold up north."
So the guys went into their bedrooms and put on their coats and packed up suitcases for their trip to Santa's workshop.
As they put their luggage and gear near the door, they heard a car horn honk outside.
"What's that?" Micky asked.
"Let's find out." Peter said, going to the front door and opening it.
Sitting in the driveway was a bright-red convertible! Getting out of the car were two girls wearing red mini-skirts. One had short black hair and the other had shoulder-length brown hair.
"Are you the Monkees?" The girl with the black hair asked.
"Yes we are." Mike said with a big smile.
"We're Sugar and Spice." The girl with brown hair replied. "I'm Sugar and that's Spice."
"And everything nice." Davy said, walking toward the girls, but Peter held him back.
"We're all ready to go see Santa." Peter said.
"That's great!" Sugar said, "Let's get going!"
So the Monkees loaded up their stuff into the back of the convertible. Mike checked to make sure the stove was turned off and the back door was locked. Satisfied, Mike locked the front door and got into the convertible with his friends.
"Here we go!" Spice said as she turned the ignition.
The convertible started up instantly and Spice backed out onto the street. She then pushed a few buttons and the wheels turned into jets and the car rose up into the air.
Seconds later, they were zooming through the air on their way to the North Pole.

Within a short time, the gang arrived at the North Pole.
They made a perfect landing on a sheet of freshly falling snow in front of Santa's castle.
The Monkees, Sugar and Spice were greeted by familiar people; Mrs. Clause and Tick and Tock.
"Are we ever glad to see you guys." said Tick.
"Did you have a safe trip?" asked Tock.
"Yes, Thank you." said Mike.
"How's Santa?" asked Peter.
"He's still stuffed up as are some of the elves," answered Mrs. Clause.
"I hope everyone gets better by Christmas," said Davy.
"I hope so too. Why don't you boys come in from the cold, I just made some of my home-made apple cider?"
"Thank you," said Micky.
And everyone then entered the castle.

As they all sat around in the dinning hall, The Monkees listened to Mrs. Clause explain what's been going on at the North Pole since Santa and the elves got ill. Production of gift making, wrapping and other chores including caring for the reindeer are behind.
"I think we may have a solution," said Mike.
"Really, what is it?" asked Tick.
"Well, Tick, you, Tock, Davy and Micky work in the shop, while Peter, Sugar, Spice and I help Mrs. Clause with the other chores."
"What a wonderful plan,” said Mrs. Clause “That leaves me more time to take care of Santa and the elves."
And the gang split up to do their chores.
What the guys didn't see was that Tick and Tock getting starry looks in their eyes seeing Sugar and Spice leave the room.

Micky, Davy, Tic and Toc walked into the main work area of Santa's castle. It was a very large place, filled with conveyor belts taking toys from one end of the castle to the other.
What the place wasn't filled with was elves. Last time the two Monkees were there, each table and conveyor was filled with elves. This time, only a few elves were working and the backlog of unfinished toys was very big.
"Looks like we got some work to do." Micky remarked.
"We really need help finishing the toy trains." Tic said as he led them over to a production line.
Tic, Toc, Micky and Davy stood along the belt. Toc explained what to do.
"Davy will put the smoke stack on the train; I'll put the coal tender on, while Tic will put on the wheels. Micky can put them in the box and send it on to be stored."
Tic pushed a button, a warning whistle sounded and the conveyor began to move. The first train part came along and Davy pushed the smoke stack onto the top of the train, and set it down onto the belt, while the others did their parts too. It was a little slow-going at first, but soon the two Monkees got better at it and soon everything was going smoothly.
After awhile though, Davy noticed Tic and Toc were going a little slower, and Toc even let one of the trains go by without putting on his part.
"What's wrong, Tic and Toc?" Davy asked, "Are you two feeling well?"
"We're feeling fine, Davy." Tic said
"Is it about Santa being sick?" Davy pressed.
"No, we just feel..." Toc said.
"What?" Davy asked gently, "You can tell me."
The two elves looked at each other, then at Davy.
"It's Sugar and Spice." Tic said.
"We really like them." Toc added.
"But we don't know how to approach them." Tic finished.
"You can try by saying hi and complimenting them on their clothes and such." Davy said, "Then maybe ask them to join you in having a hot chocolate."
"Will that work?" Tic asked.
"It might." Davy said, "But above all, smile. Girls like that."
"Really?" Toc asked this time.
"Yes, but don't push them." Davy added, "If they say no to something, ask them again at a later time, if they still say no, then...they're just not interested."
"Hey, I'm getting unfinished trains down here!" Micky called over.
"Sorry, mate." Davy smiled, "We better get cracking on these toys. Remember what I said, now."
"We will, Davy." Tic said.
"Thank you." Toc finished.
So the two Elves and Monkees finished up the pile of trains in record time.

Once the trains were done, Micky, Davy, Tic and Toc began to work on dolls, and teddy bears.

Meanwhile in the castle, Mike, Peter, Sugar, and Spice were in the reindeer's shed cleaning it and feeding the reindeer.
"Here you go Comet," said Peter, giving a reindeer some hay.
"That would be Prancer," said Sugar.
"Sorry about that."
"Hold still Dancer, I'm almost done," said Mike, trying to brush another reindeer's fur.
"That's Cupid," Spice corrected him.
"My mistake."
Just then, Tic and Toc entered the shed and approached Sugar and Spice.
"Hi Sugar," said Tic.
"Hi Spice," said Toc.
"Hi Tic," said Sugar.
"Hi Toc," said Spice.
"Is everything ok fellas?" Mike asked looking up.
"Yeah, did something happen in the toy factory?" asked Peter.
"Everything's fine," said Tic.
"Yes, Micky and Davy have everything under control," said Toc.
"Then what is it?" asked Sugar.
"Was there something you needed?" asked Spice.
Just as Tic and Toc were about to open their mouths, a red light in the shed began to flash, then a voice on the intercom said, “Emergency in toy factory!"
Sugar, Spice, Tic, Toc, Peter and Mike rushed to the toy factory to see what was happening.
Sure enough when they got there, not only did they saw the place was a bit of a mess, but found Davy wearing a life sized doll's dress and wig, and Micky covered in silly string.

"What happened?" Mike asked, trying not to laugh.
"The doll-making machine was jammed and I got stuck inside trying to clear it." Davy replied, pulling off his wig.
"I dropped a can of silly string and it burst open and covered me." Micky added, trying to pull the sticky stuff out of his hair.
"I think it's time for a break." Peter said, looking at his watch.
"Yeah, we'll go to our room for awhile and clean up." Davy said, "Will you four be ok?" Giving Tic and Toc a meaningful look.
"We'll be fine." Tic said.
"Go ahead and clean up." Toc said.
So the Monkees went up to their room while Tic, Toc, Sugar and Spice went back to the reindeer shed.

Back at their room, the Monkees got themselves cleaned up.
"I wonder how Tic and Toc are doing with Sugar and Spice," said Davy.
"Why do you ask?" asked Micky.
"Tic and Toc told me that they like Sugar and Spice."
"Hey, that's groovy," said Peter.
"Don't tell me you gave Tic and Toc advice?" asked Mike.
"Yes," Davy answered.
"How did it work?" asked Mike.
"I'm not sure; I told them to meet with them at the reindeer shed while I was at the toy factory."
"Do you think we should check on them?" asked Peter.
"That would be a good idea," said Micky.
And the Monkees went to check on their friends.

Going over to the door of the shed, the guys heard some talking and laughter. When they went inside, the looked to see Tic, Toc, Sugar and Spice sitting on a bale of hay, talking to each other. Tic looked over at them.
"Hi there!" He said, "Everything okay?"
"Yeah, we're fine." Mike said, ushering the other Monkees back out the door, "We'll go see how Santa's doing."
"Thank you." Toc said, giving the four men a wink.
The Monkees walked back to the castle with smiles on their faces.

When the Monkees entered the castle, they were greeted by Mrs. Clause.
“How is everything going boys?" she asked.
"Fine Mrs. Clause," Mike replied.
"We did have a few mistakes in the toy factory, we got them worked out," Davy added.
"Well, if you follow me to the dining hall, I got some hot chocolate and cookies waiting for you," said Mrs. Clause.
"Groovy," said Peter.
"Thanks, Mrs. Clause." said Micky.
While the guys enjoyed the snacks, Mrs. Clause joined them, but drank tea.
"How's Santa doing?" Peter asked.
"He's feeling a bit better," Mrs. Clause answered.
"That's good," said Mike, in between bites of a cookie.
"I hope he gets well enough by Christmas Eve," said Davy.
"I'm sure he will," said Mrs. Clause.
"Will it be ok for us to see him?" asked Micky.
"I don't see why not."
Just then, the guys heard foot steps coming into the kitchen. The Monkees and Mrs. Clause turned to see Santa enter the kitchen, dressed in his normal red attire.
"HO HO HO Monkees!" Santa went in his booming, yet cheery voice.
"Hi Santa!" said Mike.
"How are you feeling Santa?" asked Peter.
"Much better now thank you," Santa answered back.
"That's groovy," said Davy.
"Yes. I just met up with Tic, Toc, Sugar and Spice and the told me about how much help you were to all of us here. Were there any problems?"
"Well, we did have a few mistakes in the toy factory but we took care of them," Micky answered.
"Well, now that my elves and I are well now, we can get back to work and get ready for Christmas!”
The guys and Mrs. Clause cheered.

Although all the elves were much better, the Monkees still lent a hand in the toy factory and with the reindeer.
The guys were also quite happy to see Tic and Sugar and Toc and Spice working together.
"Looks like my plan worked," said Davy with a smile.
"What do you mean?" asked Peter.
"I'll explain later."
"Never mind, I'll guess that you played matchmaker?" asked Mike.
"You just answered the question," said Micky.

The next day, the big day arrived which was Christmas Eve. The guys, the elves and Mrs. Clause worked extra hard to get Santa ready for his big flight.
Finally, just as the sun was setting, Santa was ready for take off.

"Well, that's everything," said Santa as he and the elves placed the last of the many bags of gifts onto the sleigh.
After helping Santa Tic went to place his arm around Sugar and Toc did the same thing with Spice.
"I hope you have a save trip dear," said Mrs. Clause, giving her husband a kiss.
"Don't worry I'll be fine," said Santa placing a pair of gloves on his hands.
The Monkees hopped aboard due to the fact that Santa was going to give them a ride back to the pad.
"Thank you for inviting us on the...the…(ACHOO!) sleigh," said Peter with a sneeze, which was followed by another one.
"Peter I hope you're not coming down with...(ACHOO! ACHOO!) a cold,” Micky sneezed.
“Sounds like you’re coming down with something too (Cough Cough) Micky,” said Mike with a cough in his throat.
"If you ask me Mike, (Cough Cough Cough!), all three of you sound sick," coughed Davy.
"You were saying (Cough) Davy."
"Sounds like you all got Santa and the elves’ cold," said Mrs. Clause.
She raced back to the castle, and came back seconds later with four bags.
"Here, open these when you get back home, said Mrs. Clause.
The guys thanked Mrs. Clause and the elves, and they thanked them for helping out.
They all wished each other a Merry Christmas and the sleigh then took off into the sky.
Meanwhile on the ground, Tic gave Sugar a kiss on the cheek, and Toc did the same to Spice.

Throughout the ride, the Monkees continued to cough and sneeze like crazy, the sat far from Santa so they wouldn't get him sick again.
When they touched down in the pad’s driveway, the Monkees got off, thanked Santa for taking them home and once again Santa thanked for what they did.
They wished him another a Merry Christmas. Santa took off and disappeared into the sky, while the Monkees waved good-bye.
After Santa left the guys opened the bags Mrs. Clause gave them. All of the bags contained bottles.
"What's this?" asked a hoarse-sounding Davy.
"Looks to me like cold medicine," said Mike, in a scratchy voice.
"Well, should we take it?" asked a stuffed up Peter.
"Doesn't hurt to try," said a congested Micky.
The guys opened their bottles and said altogether, “Through the teeth and over the gums, look out stomach here it comes."
And with that, the guys drank the medicine in the bottles.
"That's weird, for cold medicine it tastes like eggnog, said Mike, What about you guys?"
"Mine tasted like hot chocolate," Peter answered.
"I got gingerbread," said Davy.
"My medicine had a peppermint flavor to it," said Micky.
As soon as the Monkees got into the pad, they weren't sure if it was from the long flight home or a side effect of the medicine, but suddenly they felt sleepy.
After making it up to their room, the Monkees fell fast asleep.

Early the next morning, the Monkees woke up after a good night's sleep.
"What a time at the North Pole we had," said Mike.
"You're telling me," said Davy.
"You bet," said Peter.
"I couldn’t agree more," said Micky.
"What a minute.” said Mike, “My throat doesn't hurt when I talk."
"Mine feels better too," said Davy.
"My nose is cleared up," said Micky.
"Same here," said Peter.
The guys then went downstairs and saw not only was their tree freshly decorated, but had gifts at the bottom.
"Hey look what I found on the branches!" said Peter, taking a piece of paper off.
"I think I know where it came from," said Micky.
"So what does it say?" asked Davy.
Mike took the note and read it.
“Dear Monkees, I hope Mrs. Clause's home-made cold remedies work.
Feel better and have a very Merry Christmas.
All the best for the season,
Santa Clause."

And The Monkees indeed had a wonderful Christmas.

The End

Wish-A-Upon A Christmas

By: Mickys411     Rated G

The curtain of the Radio City Music Hall rose and a group of performers took their bows.
After a five-week stint that started the Thanksgiving Holiday, a special production of A Christmas Carol played its last performance.
This year's play featured many familiar Broadway and play actors, but playing the role of Scrooge was former Monkee Micky Dolenz.
"Man that was great show we put on tonight," said Micky, removing his coat and hat that he wore in the show.
"It sure was," said Jesse L. Martin taking off the fake beard he wore to play the ghost of Christmas present.
"I can't wait to head back to LA tomorrow."
"You're doing some holiday shows?"
"No, I got my girls coming in the day after tomorrow, and I am looking forward to that and no performing what's so ever."
"Yeah, I'm going to be spending some time with my family too, before I go back to work on Law and Order."
The two then changed into their regular clothes, then met up with the rest of the cast for the last show party.
Micky did leave a bit early however, because he had an early flight the next day.
"You guys have a Happy Holiday season, and I'll see you all in a few months," he called out to everyone.
"You too Mick," Jesse called out.

The next day, Micky and his wife Donna arrived home in California, and to their surprise, Micky's daughters got in early. They rested that day, from their long flights.

But the day after that, the five of them were getting the house ready for Christmas.
They first went out and got a tree, then took it home to decorate it and the rest of the house.
Donna and the girls were going through boxes of ornaments and Micky was working on the lights when the phone rang.
"Can one of you please get that, I'm kind of tied up at the moment?" Micky asked.
Indeed he was, he had somehow got his arms tangled in the lights.
His daughter Georgia answered the phone.
"Hell-o, yes he's here," she spoke into the phone.
By then, Micky's arms were free and he was able to take the phone.
Georgia then handed the phone to him.
"Hell-o, yes speaking, I see when, ok, I'll do it. Ok, thank you have a nice day, I'll see you tomorrow then. Ok Good-bye."
Micky hung up the phone and said, “Well, so much for a peaceful Christmas."
"What's wrong?" Donna asked.
"Radio Disney is hosting this big Christmas charity concert for the Make a Wish Foundation and they want me to be the MC. I have to meet the heads of the event tomorrow morning.”

The next Day, Micky headed down to the Disney concert hall, which was the place that was hosting the event. He parked his car and headed inside.
Micky was greeted at the front of the concert hall doors by a man and a woman.
"Micky, great to see you again," said the man.
"You too Steven,” Micky answered back, as the two gentlemen shook hands. The man who Micky was talking to was actually Steven Thomas, the person who is in charge of setting up the events for the Make-A Wish foundation and the two had met at several occasions. Steven then indicated the woman standing next to him.
"This is Alex Carlson, she's in charge of booking the entertainment for Radio Disney events.” said Steven. “She is also going to be on hand to help you at the concert.”
"Nice to meet you Ms. Carlson," said Micky.
"Thank you Mr. Dolenz and you can call me Alex."
"And you can just call me Micky."
The three then entered the concert hall.
"So, who do we have on the list for performers?" Micky asked.
Alex handed Micky and Steven each a list and said, “So far we have the Jonas Brothers, Drake Bell, Miley Cyrus, better known as Hannah Montana and her Dad Billy Ray, but the biggest act is the cast of High School Musical.”
"Really, you got the cast of High School musical coming?” Asked Steven, “My daughter is a huge fan of theirs.”
"Well, the main actors, Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, Lucas, Corbin, and Monique are touring, but they agreed to take time out of the middle of their tour across America to come perform.”
"When is the event anyway?" Micky asked.
"Christmas Eve, meaning two weeks from Monday, but don't worry I'll be there to lend a hand," said Alex.
"Thanks, but can you make it two, I work better with a pair."
The three then started to laugh.
And with that planning got on the way for the big show.

The next couple of days were filled planning for the up-coming event.
Alex double and triple checked the performers who were coming and Steven along with the Make A Wish foundation staff going back and forth getting the concert hall ready for the concert and the after show party.
Micky lend a hand with setting up, as well as preparing himself for his duties as the concert's MC.
There were a few hiccups though along the way. It all started when the tree that was being sent to the concert hall for the show arrived late, due to poor weather in the west, the Jonas Brothers almost had to cancel because they thought they had bad colds, but luckily it was only allergies.
Everyone was quite edgy during these incidents, including Micky, who of course had a huge job of making sure everything would run smoothly for the show.
But luckily, things went back on track within a few days, much to everyone's relief.
However all that changed on the night before the show.
Micky was helping out on stage setting up for the concert, when Alex approached him.
"Uh, Micky, I'm afraid I have some bad news." said Alex.
"What's wrong?" Micky asked.
"The High School musical gang can't make it."
"Why not?"
"They're stranded in Denver."
"What happened?"
"A huge blizzard throughout the state, all the airports in Colorado have been shut down."
"But, that's the surprise act that was promised to the audience, we can't let them down, especially the kids."
"I know Micky; my manager is trying their best to get them here somehow.”
It's a good thing that there wasn't a brick wall in the room, because Micky was ready to hit his head onto one.
This turn of events wasn't anyone fault, he just felt bad that the big surprise that everyone including himself promised to the kids wasn't coming.
"Of all the times for a snow storm to happen in Colorado," he muttered under his breath.
"So what are we going to do now?” asked Steven “Can we get someone else to take High School musical's place?"
"It's too late to find a replacement, all the entertainers have been booked for other events," said Alex.
"Well, we gotta find someone who can sing and perform and fast," said Micky. Within seconds of saying that, Alex and Steven had their eyes on Micky.
"Why are you two looking at me like that?" he asked.
Then it hit Micky like the brick wall he wished for. Alex and Steven came up with the idea for Micky to sing.
"But I'm the MC." said Micky.
"Please Micky, you're the only entertainer we know." said Steven.
"It will mean a lot to us and the kids," said Alex. Micky thought for a minute, he didn't want to let anyone down, so he said he will not only MC, but sing as well.
Steven and Alex were glad to hear Micky's answer.
Micky then went home and quickly began to practice some holiday tunes, but not before reading a list to see which singer was singing what tune so he won't copy another performer's set.

He chose Silent Night; I'll be home Christmas (which he would sing with Billy Ray Cyrus), Thankful, The Christmas song and It Came Upon A Midnight Clear.
He hope to have the tunes down cold for tomorrow night and that everything will go smoothly.

The next morning was Christmas Eve, Donna and the girls were having breakfast, when Micky entered the kitchen.
"Morn...(ACHOO!) morning," he said with a stuffy nose.
"Micky, you sound terrible," said Donna.
"Thank you, I appreciate that, especially what I have to...to...(ACHOO!) go through tonight."
"Dad, Donna isn't kidding, you sound like you have a cold," said Charlotte.
"That's ridiculous; it's just my allerg...g...g... (ACHOO!) allergies,” Micky answered.
"Maybe you should call up and tell them you can't do the show," said Emily.
"I have to do this, I can't disappoint any...(ACHOO!) anyone,” Micky answered, while blowing his nose.
"Well, what are you going to do then?" asked Donna.
Micky reached into on of the cabinets and took out a box of Allegra allergy pills.
"I'll take these," he said.
He then picked up his garment bag, containing his concert clothes, and then went down to the concert hall to rehearse for the big show that night.
When Micky arrived at the concert hall, he saw that Alex and Steven were there, along with the band and chorus practicing for the concert.
"Morning Alex, morning Stee... (ACHOO!) Steven," sneezed Micky.
"Micky, you sound sick," said Alex.
"Relax, it's only my (ACHOO!) allergies acting up with the change of weather," said Micky, taking out a tissue to blow his nose.
"Are you going to be ok for the show?" asked Steven.
"I got some Allegra and I'm set," Micky answered in a stuffed up voice.
"Try and rest up a little too," Alex suggested.
"That's a good idea," said Steven.
Resting was the last thing on Micky's mind; he had a show to put on.
He then went into his dressing room to practice singing some more, however it was difficult for him with all the sneezing he was doing.
Micky thought to himself, he took a pill before he left home, maybe another one or two couldn’t hurt.
He popped two Allegra in his mouth and washed them down with some water. Micky noticed a change in an instant.
He then began to yawn and said, “My nose isn't stuffed anymore, but why do I feel so tired?" And with that, Micky fell asleep on his dressing room couch.
Micky was soon awoken by a knock on the door.
Alex and Steven poked their heads in through the door.
"Micky are you ok?" asked Alex.
"Yeah, I'm better now, I guess dozing off for a few moments helped," said Micky.
"Try a few hours." said Steven.
"What are you talking about?"
Micky looked at the dressing room and clock and saw it was two hours before show time.
"Oh no, I didn't even have time to rehearse more!" he said.
"Micky relax," said Alex.
"You're going to do fine," said Steven.
"I better get ready then," said Micky.
Alex and Steven then left to let Micky get ready for the concert.
Micky quickly changed into black dress slacks with a red shirt, black coat, and matching black hat when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in," he said.
It was Donna, Charlotte, Emily and Georgia along with Micky's daughter Ami and her husband Jerry.
"Feeling any better?" Donna asked.
"Well, my nose is fine, but I'm nervous that everything is going to go wrong, I didn't have time to rehearse any of the songs,” Micky answered.
"What happened?" asked Ami.
"I overdid it on the cold medicine and I ended up dozing off for a few hours."
"Don't worry Dad, you'll be fine," said Emily.
"Yeah, we'll be in the audience to cheer you on," said Georgia.
A stagehand then popped his head in the door and said, "Ten minutes till show time Mr. Dolenz."
"Well, we better take out seats now," said Charlotte.
"Good luck Mick," said Jerry.
Donna gave Micky a quick kiss before she, the girls, and Ami and Jerry left.
Micky then closed his eyes for a second or two, took a deep breath, then left for the stage.

The moment Micky took to the stage, the crowd cheered along with his family sitting in the front row, along with Alex, Steven and their families.
Micky began the show by singing his tunes then took over with hosting duties.
The first act was the Jonas Brothers, who preformed "Jingle Bell Rock" "Merry Christmas Baby" and Wonderful Christmastime".
That was followed by Miley Cyrus who sang "All I want for Christmas is You" Let it Snow" and The Christmas Song".

Raven Symone then took to the stage with "Grown-Up Christmas List", "The First Noel" and "When you Wish Upon a Star".

Billy Ray Cyrus sang "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer", “Frosty the Snowman,” the duet that Micky had planned, and "Upon the Rooftop"
Miley then came back on stage dressed in her Hannah Montana gear, then broke into singing, "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" “Santa Clause is coming to town," and “White Christmas”.

Billy Ray then joined his daughter on stage where the two did duets of "Here Comes Santa Clause" and "Run Run Rudolph."

When the two finished, Micky appeared onto the stage and said," Let's hear it again for Hannah Montana and Billy Ray Cyrus!"
The audience especially the young kids cheered loudly as the singers left the stage.

Micky then took to the microphone and said, “How’s everyone enjoying the show?"
The crowd cheered very loud in response.
"I'm glad you are. Listen, I have something I want to tell you. I know you were promised a surprise act, but about that..."
Just then, a UPS delivery man appeared on stage.
"Excuse me, I got a package here for a Mr. Dolenz," said the deliveryman.
"That would be me," Micky answered.
The man handed Micky a clipboard and said, “Sign this please."
Suddenly, a large green package with a red bow appeared on stage.
The deliveryman left and Micky turned his attention to the mystery gift.
"Open it!" the audience shouted.
"The tag says do not open till Dec 25th," Micky told the crowd.
The responded back by saying, "Open it!"
Micky looked out at the audience, then back at the present and said," Well I've always been the curious type, so I'll open it now."
He tugged on the bow and the box opened.
And to Micky's surprise, out came the main cast of High School Musical, who then broke into the song “Sleigh Ride”.
"Just hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing
Ring ting tingle-ing too ,"
sang Vanessa Hudgens
"Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you,"
Zac Efron sang.
"Outside the snow is falling
And friends are calling "You Hoo"
sang Ashley Tisdale with a giggle.
"Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you,"
said Lucas Grabeel
Corbin Bleu sang, "Giddy-yap giddy-yap giddy-yap let's go let's look at the snow.” That was followed by Monique Coleman who sang, "We're riding in a wonderland of snow ."
"Giddy-yap giddy-yap giddy-yap it's grand
Just holding your hand
We're gliding along with the song
Of a wintry fairy land",
they all sang. When the song ended, the audience let out the loudest applause.
"We love you Zac!" screamed a group of little girls.
The gang thanked everyone then sang a few more holiday tunes, then joined all the performers including Micky who sang "Joy to the World, the three dog nights' tune.
The show ended with a very positive response from the audience.
When the concert ended, the performers, staff, their families, and a few lucky fans were treated to a after show party.
"Great show tonight Micky," said Steven.
"You really pulled it off," said Alex.
"Thanks you guys,” said Micky, “By the way, how did you get the High School Musical gang here?"
"Maybe we can answer that," said Zac as he and the other members approached the group.
"The storm cleared up sometime around 6am," said Vanessa.
"And the snow began to melt," said Monique.
"And we managed to get here via Charter plane," said Corbin.
"How did you do that?" asked Micky.
"One of the charter pilots over heard us talking to one of the airline officials about getting a flight out here for the show," said Ashley.
Lucas added with a laugh, "Turns out his grandkids are fans of ours, so he gave us a ride here."
"That explains everything," said Micky said with a laugh.
Micky then wished everyone a Merry Christmas, then went to join his family.
They laughed when he told the story about how the High School musical actors made it to the concert in time.
"Well this has been some day," said Micky.
"And it went very well," said Ami.
"You know, one of the staff members came looking for you," said Jerry.
"About what?" asked Micky.
"That you did such a wonderful job hosting the concert; they want to know if you will do the same thing in February for their Valentine's Day ball.”
Micky slapped his hand on his face and said, "Here we go again!"
His whole family then began to laugh, as did Micky himself.
He did agree however, that despite a few glitches that this turned out to be one of the best projects he ever helped with.
And it also turned out to be a great Christmas not only for the fans and the kids, but for him as well.
